One of the few rewatchable shows imo. Comedy is genuine and the casting is superb.
I always wondered why they didn't make more episodes of this show. It's now obvious that it was due to the fact no one can keep a straight face around Richard Ayoade. Comedy genius!

Because unlike the USA, people in the UK know when to stop a series. Rather than milk them dry until there's but dust left in the utter.

Also, UK sitcoms are usually written by a very small team of writers. All 25 episodes of IT Crowd were written solely by Graham Linehan. US sitcoms usually have a big team of writers, and writers rotating in and out as seasons progress. And US sitcoms have to quickly reach a certain big number of episodes for syndication. Syndication is where the big money is! This is why the English sitcom ‘Allo ‘Allo suddenly had 26 episodes in series 5: It was necessary for the American market. (And I must say that series 5 was still very good! But then series 6 to 9, which were small again, got progressively worse. Maybe the writers had spent all of their good ideas on series 5.) There’s probably more to it. I guess that US sitcoms are often very large expensive productions. Think for example Modern Family. It had a large number of big sets and a huge and expensive cast. You’d certainly want to make lots of episodes to get your money’s worth when setting up such a big production. And then once the big money starts rolling in, also thanks to (international) syndication, the whole thing becomes bigger and bigger and the actors receive ever higher salaries and nobody wants to stop milking it. IT Crowd on the other hand is a very small production with a couple of small sets and four cheap actors in the main cast, and it probably never made a lot of money.
I have watched the same episodes again and again and still split my sides laughing! It's a classic in my mind :)

Not a single bad episode. Perfect show imo
Roy picking up olive and running was fantastic 😂
"I've taken a little bit of acid." Oh that's great!
Moss has gotta be one of the most iconic character ever in comedy or even on tv.

There is a subtle difference between "role play games" and "role playing games". One takes place in basements, the other in bedrooms.

Chris O'Dowd always seems slightly drunk in both acting roles and on chat shows. Is he really, or is it just the way Irish people are?
Thank you for these! Great show, and the bloopers are hilarious! What a great cast.
I never noticed that was Benedict Wong lol
Richard Ayoade is PRICELESS he can stay STRAIGHT FACED when the rest of the place is in uproar! BEST SITCOM FOR DECADES - BRING IT BACK!!!
The only problem with the series is, not enough of Matt Berry, he's fkn hilarious 🤣

The three guys arguing started to look like a real fight. I got worried.
I guess one of the bloopers was Chris O’Dowd adjusting his junk at 1:55. Yeah, you thought no one saw that, did you?
I always watch the part where Chris rubs his face against her cheek on repeat.
This is one of the rare comedies worthy of being in the same league as Blackadder, Fawlty Towers and Father Ted. Graham Linehan is a genius.
