Yes, that IS Angela Winbush singing background vocals. She was married to Ronald Isley, at the time.

The Isley Brothers are mega talented. A lot of artists learned a lot from them

I grew up in the "Jam Session Era". Those days are gone. Black musical groups are a thing of the past. Now, everybody is a flashlight. Back then they were galaxies.

Thank the lord for YT. The Isley Brothers only ever appeared on UK TV several times over their career- ALL back in the 60s! and no video remains. I had no idea just how amazing they were as a live act before access to the videos on YT.

I have been wanting to jam with you all since I was 17. I was the original drummer for Unidentified funk from Asbury Park, New Jersey. During my tenure, we were in articles in the Asbury Park Press at least three or four times, then I moved back to my birth place, Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania. Right now I'm having a lot of legal problems.

It bothers me that Chris Jasper has departed the reformed Isley Brothers. His participation was as essential as both Ron and Ernie, and more so than the two who neither played instruments nor sung. I have found no explanation as to why Chris does not participate. I believe that Chris wrote Atlantis, and he was the original lead singer, as it was an IJI tune. He was the principal songwriter or cowriter with Ernie for all all the songs performed here (other than the cover of Summer Breeze). But Ron and Ernie with their band are still supremely excellent, I just want the other surviving Isley to join them!

It's as simple as blood being thicker than water. The internet is full of court docs. illustrating the financial rift between the older and younger members. Also Chris, now a born again Christian, has voiced objections to some of the post 3+3 material.(Think R Kelly) Of course now in 2021, with Ron and Ernie recording uplifting tunes, such as "Friends and Family", now would be a great time for him to join them on a date here and there. By the way, Rudoloh and O'Kelly were historically tremendous vocalists. Just listen to "Love the One Youre With".

I loved Sinbad summer concerts. I'm 67 and this is the Isley Brothers..that song Family something with Ronald and Ernie is R Kelly 100 percent. Ron stole it .sad but true. I'm not surprised Snoop would do this but Ronald after he sued Michael Bolton.Snoop still stealing from E40. Dr Dre put Snoop on the map.

Angela?!! Angel no more tears... She being real good to US with that bad body and those booming, beautiful vocals

when they lost most of their original members, especially Chris Jasper, they lost that distinctive sound their records have. This Fight The Power sounds almost nothing like the recorded version. The female voices don't fit.
