As a One-trick player of both Sarco and Deino for both games, i will say that Deinosuchus has the majority of my vote. From the time of writing this comment, TI's Deinosuchus has animations and weight to the creature that make it feel serpentine and yet heavy, which is what all crocodilians in the real world display. Sarcosuchus in POT has some aspects of this, but to a lesser degree, which ends off looking somewhat stiff and lackluster. A small thing to note that i like better on the Sarco however is the weight at the end of the tail, which flops side to side, unlike the Isles Deino where this sway is too soft for the pulling of weight shown. -From a gameplay perspective, The isles Deinosuchus is given the dream kit for any crocodilian fan in games. The ability to grab, drag and drown their targets is the reason crocodilians are so feared as it is. POT's Sarco does not have this in any shape or form, but has just recently been given a charge bite, and a lunge for mobility purposes(in its earliest stages). I have also been told that a proper grab and drag has been pretty much confirmed for Sarco in the future. Sarco also has a bug with this new charge bite, where you can expose your location underwater thanks to the Sarco roaring even while submerged. This is all you need to lose out on what would have been a successful hunt. -Along with their weapons, the durability of these two differs thanks to a mechanic known as Weight scaling, which determines how much damage a creature does to another creature, based on the size of the two. The Isle is the only game that uses this mechanic, and therefor gives Deinosuchus the tanky feeling that youd expect from a 40 ft alligator. That being said, the larger creatures of the roster, including ones that could potentially counter Deinosuchus havent been added yet, so this may change in the future. Sarcosuchus on the other hand, is far less healthy then you would think. Its not the worst creature out there, but due to its lackluster gameplay and inability to take lots of damage forces it into a very cowardly playstyle. Even the smallest dinosaur in PoT could 1v1 a Sarco if you were not focused on the game. -The last mechanical thing to state would be how the two interact with their environment. As crocodilians depend on bodies of water, the maps of these two games will determine how good it feels to be these animals. The isles map (isla Spero) has lengthy stretches of rivers with different levels of depth in them. PoT's (forgot its name) has several lakes and one giant laker in the center, with vastly different formations and depths. Unlike the Isle, these lakes force Sarco to leave the safety of the water and walk great distances on land to get from water source to water source. The Isles water is muddy and barely transparent, giving the Deino more then enough stealth as long as it is fully submerged. The isles water can easily be triggered if you hover too close to the surface, causing your location to potentially be exposed if you dont account for this. Deino also has a weird issue where in certain hills underwater, the Deinos head will spaz out and poke up out of the water, also giving your location away. PoT's water is more visible and can expose your whole body from even a few feet under the surface. This forces Sarco to have to make choices from a great distance, which might not give you enough time to respond to a potential kill. As for their ability to traverse land, Deino loses water insanely fast, and WILL die if you dont prepare for this. Sarco has way better water management, meaning you can travel great distances on land with little water drain. As for their terrestrial combat, the alt-bite of Deino is the perfect counter for any nimble creature trying to bite your rear. This makes Deino an absolute menace for anything smaller then it. Sarco unfortunately is really exposed on land, having a lackluster alt-turn with no real means of defending their backside. This paves way for smaller creatures to nibble with ease until you bleed out. If you are smart, you can repel these attacks, but it will be difficult. -On a smaller note, the customization of the two crocodilians is up for debate, as Deinosuchus will be getting skin customization in the near future with update-5. Sarco on the other hand has a pretty decent variety of skins with vast colors. My personal belief is that their isnt enough color swapping with the skin palettes, leaving lots to be desired. Both games do a decent job of their crocodilians, but there is also much work that needs to be done before they can truly be ranked. Both Isle and Pot are still in development, so that leaves everything up to opinions, but that does not mean there isnt any facts to discuss with the way things currently are. With that being said, i heavily lean towards the Deinosuchus as the better representative for the Crocodilian fans such as I.

Sarcosuchus in path of titans doesnt have some mechanics like alt attack or lunge and drown, but the isle's deinosuchus does, and honestly in my opinion the graphics look better in the isle rather than in path of titans.

And on the island, each dinosaur is created with its own unique mechanics, and looking at it, you believe that it is alive, its movements are realistic. I'd like some PoT mechanics but untill they get better animations and graphics, The Isle is the go to. It was fun playing it for a while but it feels weird now after i tried The Isle.

Been playing path of titans on the series x it's very good but the isle just seems more realistic in the things you can do with the dinos and so on, and the things in the environments looks more nicely placed

from expirience between both games, i can confirm path of titans has way more at the cost of more details. you got quests, home caves, animations, etc in P0T. thats only from the free version for now, too.

if we’re gonna be honest, the isle is better both games have their ups and downs but even seeing each games end goal, the isles has a bigger chance of getting a huge player base and the only reason pot is where its at is because if the mobile kids who don’t have enough money for a pc god bless

I think PoT has a lot of potential though, it’s only been around for a year or two and already they’ve introduced sarcos and megalania, people have begun comparing it to Isle and Beasts of Bermuda, just imagine this game five years from now.

@@jasonberryman1035 Megalania Update is overhyped. Yes a new dinosaur (very strong idk if they gonna nerf it), but again with everything same as it was before. No new mechanic and you definitely cant call the poison a new mechanic. It just adds a bit of a new playstyle. PoT Updates start to be bland again. The growth zpdate was a reason to start playing it tho.

@@chomp5558 I’ll admit after looking more into PoT I have begun noticing some of its flaws and shortcomings. I’m starting to get a “play to win” kind of vibe from it and I’m not a fan of the quest based growth system either.

PoT's sarco has absolutely nothing on TI's deino. It looks silly with its gallop and constant quick high walk, has missing animations and even with the newly added "abilities", it can't catch anything unless your prey is stupid enough to stay and fight, or in the water with you and slower than you, which is rare. Deinosuchus looks good, feels good to play and does what it's supposed to do. The Isle goes for quality over quantity, which is why I'll always prefer it.

I agree I tried the new sarco attack manage to get a adult lizard with it when it was drinking but then it ran of I was too slow to chase it, when you get adult sarco to adult no one wants to come near you. They need to add like a lunge and grab like the isle for sarco to work, downside to the isle is it’s still very badly optimised but it looks really good

Tbh The Isles Deinosuchus has a much better model and it's animations are in a completely different league. The Isle got this one. Even tho I rather play PoT. I can say PoT got a mod called KTO, which has a much better and more accurate Deinosuchus model than the isle.

how is sergi mod deino more accurate? deino in the isle has legs orientated on the side of the body, whereas the sergi mod has it more on the bottom.

@@hairbarnes530 That's because it used the rig of the ingame sarcosuchus. The Isles Deinosuchus has a completely inaccurate head shape, it's just an alligators head. Sergis deinosuchus on the other hand has an accurate head shape. And also experts like fadeno, who made accurate skeletal reconstructions of deinosuchus hatcheri specimens, helped sergi with his model. The isles Dinosaurs in general are all inaccurate, so it's no wonder why sergis model is objectively more accurate

I like the general look of the isle's more, but I'm more of a firm believer in a franchise having a more stylized version so they can properly own their designs rather than just throwing another realistic dino on the stack. I think POTs looks more fun to play, it's stylized to give it a better feel in game movements vs just sticking with a realistic look + movements

The Isle looks so much better. Everything has high level of detail and looks like it actually matters, while in PoT everything looks like it’s simply good enough as is rather than significant. The animations on both games are a hit or miss tho. Haven’t played The Isle yet tbh, so PoT is still better to me so far.

Dinosaurs are not copyrighted property, they are animals that existed (unless they are a work of fiction such as the isles hypos) its like trying to tell another game developer they cannot use a tiger in their game because you already have a tiger in your game. I hope that helps.

i think it’s to early to really compare the two- realism is a thing not entirely in PoT yet, fractured are confirmed (pretty sure), and i know for a fact nesting and growth are confirmed, as well as aquatic and flying reptiles, it’s way too early in development for really both games to compare imo

The isle has better graphics but pot just has that atmosphere I love

i think the isle's deinosuchus catches the lethargic demeanor of crocodilians better than path of titans' sarco does

The isle deinosuchus is way more menacing and scarier than pot sarco

The isles models and animations are leagues above PoT and Im a pot player I’ve never had the chance to play the isle

I want to get Path of Titans when it's released on console but the Isles Deinosuchus Looks, sounds and moves far better than the Sarcosuchus from P.O.T Same for the Spino, in the Isle the new Spino looks badass, the P.O.T Spino has a thin face, big body and little legs which gives it a weird posture.

@@saphirancmi1651 Gravity center is still accurate as well. Spinosaurus was bipedal, which is undisputed. There were bipedal archosaurs before the dinosaurs that had similar proportions, but ppl only crap themselves when it comes to spino, it seems.

I was interested in path of titans but it looks so cartoonish compared to the isle and still needs more mechanics to rival the isle for realism.

They both have great models and it’s a tie, since they both have different environments which can change the looks. So it’s a tie

The Isle takes itself way too seriously. Trying to make it as realistic as possible but forgetting it's supposed to be game. Games are meant to be fun not boring like real life. Path of Titans is similar to the Isle but one big difference it's fun and more like a game. So with this comparison of their crocodiles. It doesnt really matter about which has better animations or how realistic or unrealistic. It comes down to the players how fun it is to play it.

Isle is not trying to be realistic, considering the amount of artistic liberty and ridiculous abilities they give their animals. It's just more "edgy". Another Jurassic Park clone.

@@maverick2560 I will not consider the isle a "jurassic park" clone. But it surely is a survival game where you just eat, sleep, drink and make nests. While living in a world where gravity exists that can break your legs from fall damage by just 2 feet. Which is why this game is taken itself too seriously by trying to make it's world as close to ours. Which I never like since I want a fun dinosaur survival game not 100% down to earth simulator.

Yea, definitely not a Jurassic Park clone. Considering that after six years, humans still aren't in the game yet, despite countless promises and teasers, I understand the confusion.

@@maverick2560 We don't have any details, plot or even single player campaign. It's just a simulator with dinosaurs eating, drinking and growing. This game has no story just concept arts of ideas that the developers never seem to go ahead with it.

Pot has better graphics and better mechanics... which the isle is being reworked with evrima to combat the competition (something the isle has never had until recently, hence why development in the past has been slow and of poor quality)

@@catfish0345 uh no, I started playing path of Titans first and it was my fav Dino game but then it turned into shit, the spawning system, the water quality thing the lag and bugs. Starving because I couldn’t find any food and the fact that we haven’t got a new dinosaurs in months ok , we only got new diets smh...... not to mention de lack of realism in servers you can’t hunt at cc or tp without getting killed by Care Bears do you want me to continue ? The isle is 100% better ( evrima not legacy )
