Because Hollyweird hates straight white males and films that they consider to promote "toxic masculinity." Plus, it's all white folk, and Hollywood hates white folks who refuse to apologize for being white and successful. That said. Oppenheimer was pretty awesome, although that also had virtually all white folk in it and also is about white males doing outstanding things.

It made them realize how much they love each other and that life is short and anything can happen so value and love on each other for as long as we have.

For anyone who hasn’t seen this magnificent film yet, please don’t be fooled into thinking you have to be a wrestling fan to enjoy this one. This is a deeply emotional story about brotherhood and loss. In a world where biopics have been deeply oversaturated, this is one of the best ones made in recent years.

I grew up watching it though today’s current product is ass in my opinion but I have a tremendous respect for the business as a whole. Anyways, I would give it a 7.5/10, great storytelling. Emotional. Suspenseful and very, very real. Definitely check it out.

I am not a big fan of westling, but this movie seems a beautiful story, on family, brotherhood, and the hard progress in sport, so, even not wrestling fan, it is not a reason do not watching it. I think the purpose is not the wrestling, but all around it. A family story. The strengh, passion, and disagree into a bound family.

Just came back from watching this. Did not think this film would emotionally break me. It's been a long time since a movie has punched me this hard. The greatest tragedy was how much love these brothers had for each other. They loved each other more than life itself. Zac Efron, made me a believer. The man can act. Through out the film, the greatest feat he had in acting was the amount of emotion and rage he had... hiding under his face. Through out the film while he didn't say anything underneath, you saw the pain of all the devastation that was happening around him. All he wanted more than anything... was to spend time with his brothers.

Right after I was born October 18, 1980, my mom and dad, with my 3 older brothers met the Von Erich's, ALL OF THEM at DFW airport after they had fun at Six Flags in Arlington. We headed back to San Antonio. We took a picture with them. It's in the archives somewhere, but we did that. They became my favorite wrestling family after that. Kevin & Kerry were mine. We've had a lot of Iconic entertainers in Texas history in my lifetime die or be killed WAAY TOO YOUNG, but I'm glad they existed at least for me to grow up seeing them. RIP Kings👑 & Queens👑

I was finally able to see this absolutely wonderful movie today, 5/18/24. Kerry Von Erich was the first professional wrestler I saw wrestle barefoot as a kid. For some reason, that just blew me away. Fritz, clearly was living out his failures in wrestling through them boys. So f*cked up they chose to take themselves out.😢 I completely lost it at the end of the movie when they showed Kevin with his extended family. So incredibly happy for him overcoming everything. ❤❤❤

This movie is going to be one of the most tragic wrestling stories to be shown for big audiences. As a wrestling superfan, the von Erich story is not about a curse, it's just about the unity of brothers who got into the wrestling business by a legendary but tough father who controlled them and broke them down to turn them into wrestling superstars in Texas, for WCCW (World Class Championship Wrestling). I hope that the story will be very truthful and respectful to the Von Erichs, but show the actual horrible truth about their struggles with depression, drug addiction, and just breaking their bodies and minds to keep WCCW successful by their father, but soon with all of it, all the brothers, except for Kevin, would be dead by their own addiction or by their own hands due to what they went through. So far, the movie looks good, Zac Efron looks a bit weird cast for Kevin Von Erich, but to be honest, movies shouldn't cast people for looks, but only for their acting chops, so I just hope Zac will do Kevin Von Erich right, but everyone else looks good enough for their respected roles. I'm praying that the movie is great because I think Wrestling should be told more in Movies, like what the wrestler was or now The Iron Claw, I think the wrestling business is very dramatic and eventful for a movie, but yet has very awful, tragic stories that could be a good portrayal for a movie. I hope it does well.

Disney is a fucking grindhouse and while I personally think it's genuinely unethical to put young kids in the spotlight like that, you always, always see the grain (Zendaya, Olivia Rodrigo, Zac Efron, Jenna Ortega) separate from the chaff (Bella Thorne, Jeanette McCurdy) there. You have to be genuinely talented, mentally balanced or lucky to survive that Disney grind but those who do, almost always enjoy the highest level of success in the entertainment industry.

I totally agree but at least Bella was in "Girl", though that onlyfans stunt where she made a million scamming simps was pretty whack. I just mean there's way worse Disney stars that fade into oblivion then her. Also Zendaya is leagues above anyone else imo. This is the first Zach movie I am genuinely interested in. A24 did Robert Pattison justice maybe it'll give him a chance too.

For the VERY FIRST TIME in my life, I have a movie that I can see in the theater with my Uncle who introduced me to wrestling in 1991 when I was just 4 years old. He always told me stories about the Von Erichs and the Fabulous Freebirds rivalry and now after 32 years, we finally have our own movie to go see together and his health is on the decline pretty badly so I’m very happy to be able to share this moment with him. 🙏🙏🙏

@@iiiLOBO Oppeneheimer was absolutely boring. They tried to gaslight the audience into feel sorry for Oppenheimer, a guy who built the atomic bomb, which didn't help since the film left out the Hiroshima Incident. I got more out Cassandro, which is a biopic where you feel sorry for the lead and you get more that with The Iron Claw because you get to know the brothers and you feel for them when tragedy hits each of them. I can watch Napoleon mainly for the battle scenes and I like Joaquin Phoenix. If any good biopics came out this year, it's The Iron Claw, Cassandro and Napoleon.
