The Polish invasion was conventional in most aspects, only Guderian's collumn you see far in the east was completely mechanized . The soliders were simply superior to the Poles in all ways, and the Polish government was mostly . unprepared as Germany had mobilized in secret.. Germany still used horses and there were no great tank battles or signifactly radical CAS. France invasion was a true blitzkrieg .

Im sorry to say soldiers being better is clearly not the case here.

@@Betlar Ah yes German offensive training and revolutionary new ideas of modern infantry warfare being adapted by the germans while ignored by the Allies until Hitler was in Paris has no effect on the outcome of this conflict. The Polish operation was not motorized, but it had few flaws at all as perfectly shown by the speed of the territory being taken. Germany was superior to Poland in every way, including in soldier morale and training. Moreover, Germany had only been militarized at all for 5 years before this. The last conflict Poland overwhelmingly defeated the over-reaching Soviets nearly 20 years earlier.

Poland played all-in, threatening Germany with a war over Danzig/Gdansk, hoping that the allies would attack Germany from the West. Even Beck and the others never expected to win against Germany, just to hold out in the south until France and GB would do the job. Classic nationalistic wishful thinking.

To make the layers move so fluidly, did you have to add many anchor points? Thanks again for sharing and I hope your channel gets many more views.

@@sergeitihanovsky5048 Apart from the case of Czechoslovakia, all these matters were only politics, we wanted to live between the Third Reich and the USSR and we had to ballast, so it's no wonder that we had a pact with them, we had the same pact with the USSR, but about that already you not learned right? When it comes to Czechoslovakia it was a big mistake, but I'm sorry, this land was taken from us first by the Czechs at a time when Poland had to fight the Bolsheviks in 1920, as I say it was a mistake, but do not manipulate history. Poland generally did not want to go with Hitler for which you should kiss our feet, because if Poland went with the Third Reich, no one would remember a country like Russia...Oh yeah, you forgot to add that we were cooperating against the USSR because less than 20 years earlier he tried to walk over our dead body and take over the whole of Europe

The french had planned for poland to last a few months, long enough for the french to prepare a large scale offensive. Instead of that, after the preliminary advance in the saar region with the few alreafy available divisions between the 7th and 16th, france understood that poland wouldn't last long enough, and changed their plans.

Comparing this with today's war in Ukraine, Ukraine is in a comfortable position, have only a front wit one side and technology that betrays the enemy's position. If the Germans had known during the Second World War that they could conquer Poland, they would not have asked for help from the USSR. It was the same with the partitions of Poland. They had to attack as many as 3 countries! would not be able to cope alone because they were afraid ... My country is hardworking and after all these constant wars, starting from the second half of the 18th century until the overthrow (of course, thanks to Poland and solidarity) of the USSR in 1989, Poland has rebuilt and is functioning well, and it should be worse . There is no comparison. If Russia used all their power and didn't bother about civilians, Ukraine would be gone in a matter of days. Back then, III Reich and USSR didn't care, they destroyed everything on their way and killed everyone. The fact that Poland lasted 1 month without any help against these 2 countries is a huge achievement.
