Lego WW2 Poland invasion 1939

Фильм және анимация

The invasion of Poland (1 September - 6 October 1939) was a joint attack on the Republic of Poland by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union which marked the beginning of World War II.
The German invasion began on 1 September 1939, one week after the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact between Germany and the Soviet Union, and one day after the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union had approved the pact. The Soviets invaded Poland on 17 September. The campaign ended on 6 October with Germany and the Soviet Union dividing and annexing the whole of Poland under the terms of the German-Soviet Frontier Treaty.

    I see a lot of comments about MP40 in 1939. So need to clarify - in this video the model is used as MP38. Brickarms dont have mp38 and tbh not the big difference in this scale so I used it as mp38. So no MP40 in 1939.

    You can make the mp38, with the japaneese type 100 and the Sten gun magazine. But... There IS another problem because there aren't panzer IV in Poland, only panzer I, II, III, and other typologies of tank's, and why you have use the BAR?

  • @LCMhistory

    @@David7TheSovietic Why? Have you seen a picture of MP38? It looks a lot like MP40. Not a big difference. It like to use PPSH instead of finnish sub-machine gun Suomi. Almost the same but different weapon. So no problem in my opinion to use mp40 as mp38. So the next question - BAR. Well check the info, Polish army really used BAR in 1939.

    Not really a great work! Because as is so often the case also with toys, contrary to historical truth, the Poles are shown without tanks fighting the Germans. In fact, the Polish army had tanks on the same technological level with the German tanks. Except that Poland had significantly fewer tanks than Germany because the Polish government was not arming as much because Poland relied on the support of its western allies. The Poles had no idea that the allies would betray Poland. The British and French declaration of war 1939 against Germany served only for saving face. The British and the French did not intend to keep to the state treaty commitment and to attack massively in the west. They wanted to sacrifice Poland for peace with the Germans! They preferred to betray Poland instead of fighting. This was the continuation of British and French appeasement stupid politics of the 30s! The inaction of the French and British was the message to Germany: Be satisfied with Poland. Do not attack us behind the Maginot Line and in the British Isles. We do not attack Germany either! This betrayal of Poland in 1939 was not only dishonest but it was also a military stupidity of truly monumental dimensions. The opportunity to fight a brief, localized war against Germany was therefore lost in September 1939. In hindsight, also lost were the opportunities to save millions of lives and to have prevented the creation of conditions that led to the Cold War. As General Ironside the Chief of the British General Staff stated in 1945, after much of Europe was in ruins and 50 million have died, "Militarily we should have gone all out against the German the minute Germans invaded Poland. ... We did not ... And so we missed the strategical advantage of the Germans being engaged in the East. We thought completely defensively and of ourselves. After the war German military commander Alfred Jodl said that "if we did not collapse already in the year 1939 that was due only to the fact that during the Polish campaign, the approximately 110 French and British divisions in the West were held completely inactive against the 23 German divisions." German General Siegfried Westphal stated that if the French had attacked in full force in September 1939 the German army "could only have held out for one or two weeks." After all, in the video the betrayal of Poland is hinted at by its allies! Well, after all, like in reality, the German tanks shown in the video are mainly infantry support tanks and not battle tanks. Because the Germans defeated Poland with the superior number of infantry support tanks Panzer I and II. In fact, the Germans did not defeat Poland in 1939 in a blitzkrieg with a storm of battle tanks, but in a conventional fighting style with infantry supported by Panzer I and II infantry support tanks and air support.

    I like how you included lots of mini polish victories. Most Invasion of Poland videos just show Poland getting obliterated with zero resistance, but they actually fought a lot more well than we realize. This film's technical side when it comes to effects and smoothness equals it's greatness on the historical side of things. It is so detailed and smooth and I love it!

    bruh this is something the poles are writing today because there are no one left which is alive anymore to these soldiers which participated into crushing the polish state. These german soldiers which participated all share a common story in their records stating that they fought against an outdated enemy that their higher commands sended cavalry units, armed with speers/poles and sabers against tanks. The "invasion" was a justified reaction from the german side against poland. For their anti german terrorism on the border and onto the german minority which represented the majority in the polish western areas during that time. Their cruel acts went on since 1921. 1939 just symbolize a new phase of the conflict. The allies which wanted war since may of 1933 used that opportunity to drag Germany into a new war against the whole world again out of pure fear that the nation (germany) somehow would overcome them economicly, finaincially and technologically on the world stage, in such a short time.

  • @goldbrickstudios6903

    @goldbrickstudios6903

    @@karstenseterbakken3617 Absolutely NO ONE wanted a war against Germany. Britain's main goal was to establish peace with Germany, they were not ready for a war nor were they preparing for one because once Neville Chamberlin returned from Munich to the chanting of "peace! peace!" there seemed to have no cause for one. France just stationed some soldiers on the Maginot Line. Once Germany invaded a small sliver of France that was once theirs before the first world war, France didn't even bother to fight back. And that was AFTER Poland had been conquered. If the Allies wanted to draw Germany into a war, they would've declared it after the treaty they signed that stated Germany would never conquer anything further than the Sudetenland was broken right behind there backs. The German losses totaled 14,000 dead and 30,000 wounded in Poland. I'm not saying that Poland didn't get crushed. They got crushed. But you don't suffer those kind of casualties with horses, spears, and a few sticks. Poland had the fifth strongest army in Europe, that's impressive but you still can't blame them for loosing. The German army was FAR more advanced than any other army on the planet. However he combined might of the Allies obviously proved too much for one country. And the soldiers you speak of are not alive now, but they were decades ago.....they can still tell stories then. Your logic of "since there all dead no one can tell the truth" is flawed. If that were true, any story of WW2 or any part of history would not even be heard of. People talked......even if they are dead now. It makes no difference.

    Bloody amazing. I swear, it felt like only a minute. Quality of filmmaking and sets were fantastic. All the vehicles were amazing. Just a little critique, I would try and make more falling backwards movements when soldiers are reacting to explosions and gunshots, rather than standing and falling. It’s tougher but I think it adds a bit more realism. Overall great stuff. As a Lego fan and military history nerd things like this are greatly appreciated lol Edit: Forgot to mention this but the plane shots were godly. I know how much of a pain compositing can be, but I got real chills when seeing and hearing the aircraft. Phenomenal work.

And eventually there it was, it’s crazy how the quality has improved with every upload. I really appreciate your ability to make a stop motion historically accurate without losing the entertainment factor. Sure there wasn’t mp40’s in 39 but as someone who likes to build custom armies. companies rarely have specific versions of guns or niche historical weapons so sometimes I have to compromise, and as for the tank stuff I think it was pretty obvious what was depicted to those who know so not a big deal… so again great video and I hope those comments don’t detract from that.

    This was an animation like wine! Very perfectly selected weapons for Polish army - machine gun ZB vz. 26 or modified Browning machine gun with the water cooling instead of classic air cooling plus the anti-tank Mauser gun, the Polish unique uniforms and plus with it the German Panzers I with the Panzer 38t! Brilliant video, keep up the work! 🙂

    Funny thing about these rifles, it was our Polish secret plan against German vehicles. We made a lot of them and distributed evenly. The problem is, this was completely held in secrets. So secretive that soldiers themselves didn't know about these rifles and many outposts fell without these rifles even getting unboxed. But yeah, we didn't mobilize in time due to France and UK begging us to not do so and keep appeasing Hitler, which turned out how it did...
