LYRICS
i’m a match, she’s kerosene,
you know she’s gonna burn down everything
she’s an arsonist, in her pastime,
and i’ve been burned for the last time
it started out like any other morning,
the sky was red, he took it as a warning
she kicked the hive now the bees are swarming
then played the victim 'til the crowd starts forming
she’s got a history of making a scene,
yeah she’s telling stories, she’s gaslighting
like he’s the executioner and she is the queen,
but he’s the one who’s neck is in a guillotine,
he said i’m a match, she’s kerosene,
you know she’s gonna burn down everything
she’s an arsonist, in her pastime,
and i’ve been burned for the last time
the smoke clears out and he’s been awakened.
he said this life could be mine for the taking
she needs a drink so she start shaking,
and play the victim 'til his heart starts breaking
no real tears cause she don’t mean it,
this landscape used to be so scenic
and he could make it out, if he could dream it.
rising up from the ash, he’s a phoenix
i’m a match, she’s kerosene,
you know she’s gonna burn down everything
she’s an arsonist, in her pastime,
and i’ve been burned for the last time
you play with me, you're playin' with fire

I just saw this band for the first time, playing live on Rock Werchter in Belgium. What a great song was this! All the energy that the song has - beside of course the meaning of the lyrics. Still, the band got an extra fan from today onward !! 🤘🏻🎸
Just saw them in NYC last night. Definitely a fan now. Great song and awesome energy!
I LOVE this sooo much. Huge fan of Ska/reggae and punk. This is bloody awesome. Thanks for bringing it back. It's kick ass.
When lyrics and vocals have power without any screaming...well done!

Absolutely outstanding song and sound! I want more! 👍
I listened to this album in the kitchen for the first time yesterday. This is instantly one of my favourite songs and I love the singer.

Blown away! I saw them live on 7/24/21 on the first night of the Weezer/Fall Out Boy and Green Day tour in Arlington, TX. They were so excited to be live - it had been 18 months! Their opening performance ignited the crowd; this song in particular was outstanding - it was the best song I heard all night! I couldn't wait to get home and take a deeper dive into their world!
Please, someone, stop me from listening this over and over again. It`s so cool, i can`t stop myself. SOMEONE HELP ME.

This is my anthem from now on. Great song, great band.
I’ve listened to this song over and over again, and even gone to the length of doing a cover, it’s one of my favourite tracks of all time (impressive given I heard it for the first time a couple of weeks ago). Absolutely love the metaphor throughout, the tempo and energy are spot on, love the bass line and upstrum rhythm, and Aimee’s voice is absolutely spot on. To me, this is an exercise in perfection when it comes to song writing. It hasn’t happened often in my life that I’ve listened to a track over and over with this kind of enjoyment, so a massive thanks to you for writing it. Ska punk is king, thankyou for continuing the legacy, which to be fair, I thought was at an end. The Reel Big Fish and the Interrupters are currently carrying the flag for ska punk for me. Fuckin’ rock on. All the luck to you, love you all, hope so see you live. 🤘
