I just realised this is around a 2 hour Podcast which is a 2010s film’s running length. Well done!

Is it a flex that I knew every movie mentioned in this podcast? It was quite a trip down the memory lane, imagining what I was doing at the time each of the mentioned movies released. Maybe music & movies is the only time travel we have. Thank you for doing this

Totally agree it was her decade when it comes to directors. Forgot to mention cos we were trying to compress 10 years worth of movies.

I am surprised that you missed talking about Tapsee Pannu, I think she has made one of the most remarkable women centric movies- Pink, thappad, Haseen Dilruba, Badla. She was one of the most honorable mentions that you guys missed.

This was the decade of stories set up in smaller towns and they sort of drove a major part of the narrative of the film. Varanasi is a primary character in Masaan and Ranjhana. Parineeti Chopra started the decade with bang but lost the steam mid way. Tapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam, Ileana all of them did some good films. Seema Pahwa has become the most important character in all the movies that came post Aankho Dekhi.

Tishu wanted to make the whole movie(PST) what he said I don't remember the exact technical nuances of it, but he wanted to show it like a wide bigger picture something shooting with particular lens and such mm screen, imagine how it would have enhanced the experience of watching that movie in the theatre and even in our homes. So he managed to somehow take wider shots by doing some tricks, it was amazing!

Ghajini 1st 100cr 2008 3 idiots 1st 200cr 2009 Dhoom 3 1st 250cr 2013 Pk 1st 300cr 2014 Dangal 1st 350cr 2016 and all these are just domestic! They were huge global too. Dangal only 2000cr worldwide film! Its AAMIR KHAN phenomenon guys!
