If Gorbacheav's reforms succeeded then the USSR would probably still be around, maybe a few countries leave the union such as the baltics and some central asian nations, probably some caucasian ones too, the centrally planned economy would be changed to a socialist-market economy, something similar to democratic socialism, with private enterprises being allowed, possibly free elections, maybe more freedom for intra-party factions? The world would be so different right now if the USSR was still around. Although EU and NATO would probably expand like our time, different geopolitical pressures too, it'd probably be more peaceful since the USSR would need to cooperate, and I think they wanted to, with western nations for economic and political reasons.

Gorbachev is the reason the USSR fell, a USSR with private property would be a complete betrayal to everything socialists had fought for. Also the central Asian SR’s likely wouldn’t have left, as they had some of the highest pro Union polling during the collapse. Baltics and Caucuses would likely have tho yes

Communism is not about getting the same wage or salary . It's about ensuring elimination of exploitation of workers and thus giving them their just and right earnings and thus ensuring more or less equitable distribution of income . A scientist in the USSR could still earn more than a farmer.

Nah man we are Maoists here. The person working the hardest is a capitalist roader. Dismiss them from all party positions and see them expelled.

As a centrist that praising and also criticising both Capitalism and Communism, this music makes me feel so relaxing
