This is Zhou Enlai just before the start of the Nanchang uprising in the 1st of August 1927 which was the first battle of the Chinese Civil War after the massacre of communists in Shanghai by forces loyal to Chiang Kai-shek. The scene is from the movie Axis of War: The First of August.

Here is shown the CPC uprising countering the Shanghai massacre... And how common soldiers have died leaving their fiance behind them... Yeah and the pre war situation was actually political i.e how the relations between the Ku-ming-tang party and communists.

There are three best renditions of Internationale. Russian, German and this one.

If you ask me, it all depends on the key and composition. Sing it too high, and it sounds too soft, especially in English. Then again, that may just be because English is my default, and therefore sounds mundane to me. That all being said, you're missing out if you don't give the Spanish version its due praise.

В тот период это были очень близкие партии, особенно левое крыло гоминьдана ("революционной партии") - по полной аналогии с эсерами (левыми и правыми). Одним из трёх принципов основателя Сунь Ятсена (значит и гоминьдана) был социализм. Но в тот же период КПК входил в состав Гоминьдана в целом и военного училища в Наньчане в качестве особой партии - форма и знамёна были единые, а партии разные (как махновцы в своё время в составе Красной Армии). Раскол будет чуть позже.

+thi tran the Chinese Red Army was formed out of defected members of the National Revolutionary Army, the military arm of the KMT. This is right after the Nanchang Uprising, which is the formation of the CCP, so they didn't have uniforms yet. So that's why they use the red scarves

No, at the moment of Nanchang uprising, the CCP had not begun to consider the KMT as enemy. At that time the CCP hoped that the left-wing of KMT will continue the cooperation with CCP and what they were against were only the fraction of the KMT who were anti-communist.
