Derek is indeed amazing to listen to. His playing blesses me constantly as I marvel at his virtuosity and commitment.
Wonderful
AMEN! Awesome sound, probably the best sound the ISB has had for a long time
Well Done! I am moved every time I listen to this band. I grew up in Army banding 3rd generation Salvationist leaving the Army in 1973 to become a Baptist Church Orchestra Minister. All the will a professional player in recording live shows etc. I can honestly say that the very finest music I have ever played or listened to has been in the Salvation Army. Thank you gentlemen for your spirit and musicianship, it lifts me to the very Throne of heaven. Tears of joy
Fab-u-lous, no more needs to be said! Thank You ISB and Stephen
Yup make me proud to be a Salvation Army bandsman.
Wow - just wow!
with lots of love from India Eastern Territory 👍🇮🇳
Derek was my band master at music school when I was a teenager. I'm a euphonium player and he still inspires me - I'm currently training at William Booth College in London to be an officer - I doubt I'll ever be as good as Derek but I give everything I can to God. xxxx
Thank you for your comment Percy.
Loved playing Pursuing Horzions under Dr Cobb's direction on this years National Youth Band of Wales course.
Absolutely fantastic. If it were only music-making it would be marvelous, but you are serving the Lord Jesus and declaring His greatness with each and every breath. In that way you are not unlike the very angels, yes?
Craig, thank you for your kind comment.

Awesome Band! They can play me into Heaven when I die.
May I take this opportunity to place on record that our colleagues in Australia are cooperating fully with the authorities in Melbourne, in 2004 leadership in Australia unreservedly apologised to former residents of any of its children’s homes who were subjected to any form of abuse and maltreatment while in its care. It acknowledges the failure and deeply regrets that not all the children in its care received the love and protection they deserved. We once again reiterate that apology.
Thank you! Be blessed!
Tarosticks, Here is the info you requested re. the percussionists. Black check shirt - Ashley Durrant Collar & Tie - Rob Hayward Blue & white striped polo shirt - Chris House
You are absolutely right about the spelling, however, we did not know why. Thank you for this interesting fact.
We would appreciate if your could keep your comments within the stream to get the best from the community we are creating.
Derek Kane's son is not the one sitting next to him and wasn't playing that day. If he plays better than is father we leave up to you to decide ;).
We'll endeavour to find out for you.
Does anyone know the name of the percussionist?? thanks
We have removed posts from Jeff Moss who has breached several KZread guidelines and because of threatening language we have banned any further comments from him.
Sorry to correct but it is spelt Derick because he is called Frederick
Is Derek Kane's son playing next to him now? I hear he's as good or better than his dad!!
that 1-3 to open trill at the end looked awkward
