The "interesting" 6 at Highley, Shrops.
*SHUDDERS* :|
well.... the local said:
- "by the way, they haven't been rung for 40 years"
as we were entering the tower!!
The front 2 are up wrong!
With 2 people and myself, we couldnt get the 2nd up right, or the treble!!!
They like to drop too.
- ENJOY! ;)

Loving the sweet and delicate tones of Ms Rigby there :)
Wow! They have been rung a couple of times more recently, there was a quarter rung last year after a bit of work was done on them. Carr's of Smethwick I do believe cast some of them!
Dove has: 1, 2, 3, 6 Charles Carr, Smethwick 1907 4 Worcester Foundry c1410 5 Robert Hendley c1499 The front 3 sound very good - apparently Carr adopted harmonic tuning around this time, unfortunately the tenor sounds a bit out! Love them!! gotta ring here, they sound fun.
ouch!
, yehh, that's right. 1,2,5, and 6!! rough as toast they are!! If you strike them individually, they're good bells, but with them all being funny notes, the bells, as a ring, sound dire. Were the front two up right in the Quarter?!?! ;D my guess is that they weren't.
@simonbellringer , well..... the front two went up wrong and wouldnt go up right, and they like to drop. delightful :/
@1BODGER95 FUN!!
@LauraBellringer , quite ! :|
Theyre OK, apart from that AWFUL Carr Tenor!!! Replace the Tenor, you has a good sounding 6!!!!! What did they go like?
