Davidson and I jumped into Line War to check out the new PvE COOP mode and this game instantly got me hooked (I mean that genuinely!) It's rather complicated looking at first glance, but after an hour I got the hang of it and I felt like I was very able to handle multiple fronts on multiple islands. In the air, on the sea AND on the land! Thanks to the devs for partnering with the channel, this is genuinely an amazing little strategy game I've been enjoying even playing when not recording!

Unfortunately for me it's still too close to "realistic modern military"... Ever since my own involuntary stay in the army those kinds of games, as well as replaying historic modern wars, make me a bit uncomfortable... :( Which is a shame because this looks really awesome... If it had lasers and spaceships I'd be all over it. Edit: As I look at it closer, it might be astract enough for me to enjoy it...
Been looking for a RTS game that doesn't require immense multi-tasking and APM for a while now. I think this is the one.

Id say it took me a couple hours to get really used to it, but yeah APM on this is low (at least in PvE) it's definitely different from most other RTS's Ive played!

Wtf you mean you been playing for years. It’s dead. You can’t even get a match. Only matches I could get were in demo and right after release. Couldn’t even get a match after 30 minutes of waiting like 3 months ago. Dead game.

@@Kesen2003 Just not true. Been playing almost every day for years. 2.000 hours. Currently playing official tournament, and at this exact moment 103 online players. Is it a big player base ? No, definitely not. But it’s 100% not dead.

While I missed the sale, I still bought this game and have been enjoying it so far. There’s definitely a learning curve, but I had never heard of this and it fits nicely in a niche I never knew I needed. Thanks for covering! Very entertaining as well. Would love to see you play it again.

Loved the video @theShermanator! Can't wait for the next video man! Line War looks like a Cross between Axis & Allies and Hoi4, am I the only one who sees this or am I Crazy? Great Game either way and can't wait to see more on the Channel man! Also, Aircraft Carriers are Great to provide Additional Air Support for your Forces. U.S. Navy Maintains a Policy of having no less than 10 Carriers at any given time, since World War Two. I did also get a Hint of "ICBM" in this with the Nukes though. Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video man!
I'm very happy this game is getting some much needed attention. It still has a long way to go but it has great foundations.

@@adbp1513 Key word: Multiplayer Beta, the base is fine it just needs tweaking, and like 50% of the units were missing, like Drones for the US. I myself quite enjoyed it with that in mind instead of expecting a complete game, much better than Warno by a large margin.

@@theShermanator it’s very similar to Total annihilation but with a more updated engine. Handles large scale battles very well with a lot of quality of life improvements that make it easier to handle. Try checking it out if you’re into it; it’s cool to play and amazing to watch
this looks really cool but i doubt my friends would play this with me, and i probably can't even afford it anyway lol

This was in COOP; but yea you can do solo vs AI too; I wouldnt dare go into PVP myself until I had a firm grasp on the game, feels like I would get destroyed online lmao, coop/sp vs AI is fun however

this was actually the equivalent of about 2 AI, to match Davidson and I being 2 players, but through the handicap system you can make the AI very difficult!

the AI gave me a challenge for sure, and you can edit them to be harder too if you feel confident, cant speak to the PvP tho
Oh good, they added a singleplayer mode. Being multiplayer only at launch was a turn-off for me.

I don't know how I feel about this game. Looks interesting, but what you don't see up front is that the game has no singleplayer AI. Its all PvP. EDIT: Apparently they just recently added Singleplayer AI, so I stand corrected.
this game can only give you 1 AI team per match. shame.

nobody plays this game, i refunded because they didn't even had AI skirmish when I bought it and it was impossible to get any players for me. I checked now after your video and still only dozens of players play this.

Technically someone else could've done it, but I've seen what botted views look like, they don't have a high average view duration, which this video seems to have so if it is someone else who botted this video, they paid a buttload for the high quality bot views? I am as surprised as you are by the overwhelming views on the video, the developers of the game say that they've seen their player count increase by a lot, so it must mostly if not all be real views/people Sorry to disappoint
Bought this game like so long ago. Was excited for it. It was a fun game but extremely disappointed with it. It’s a dead game unfortunately and you can’t even get matches. Couldn’t even fight AI. Waste of time. It’s been dead for at least a year probably longer.
