The Infamous Rolex OP41 Tiffany in 2024
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 Tiffany is a divisive piece. The entire colourful lineup of OPs were a smart move by Rolex, but did it really benefit the watch enthusiasts?
Massive thanks to www.kenwatches.com/?lang=en for the hands on of this piece. Do check them out! Kenwatches are a reputable watch dealer in HK with 4 retail locations.

About
Hi, I'm Ashwin and I make content on Rolex, Tudor, Omega, Patek, AP, Vacheron, A. Lange and a whole host of other really cool watch brands. I also cover more than just the hype watches, Moser for example.
Often I also cover some aspects of the watch market and its relevancy in the short term. Check out some of my other videos on the channel and see if you resonate with the content. There's plenty.

Masterstroke by Rolex. Geniuses in marketing.
For those bold colors I prefer 36mm

Would make sense for a younger crowd as well
I always wonder why they never launch a Tiffany blue Datejust 36 and 41. Then again it would've create an unnecessary hype and the usual unavailability.
Hated that cannot be obtained and hated because it was discontinued too fast. However, whatever they release mania never stops.

Yes that's true. We all want what we can't have don't we :)
Biggest mistake? They literally converted the model line that nobody wanted into the most difficult pieces to acquire. People lust for these pieces, when just two years ago they sat in the display cases. I'd say that's a win, not a mistake.

Yes indeed, I mention exactly this! In doing so they managed to also ensure that their target audience is the last to get one of these watches. Watches that were meant to draw in a new wave customers.
The tiff 5711 is the first ever triple branded watch. Lol. “There’s nothing crazy about it” I mean ya. You’re right. It’s just a watch but hey who am I to say lol
Agree. OP success priced many of us out of Rolex completely.

I wonder if they even had a clue as to how popular it would become!
I argue that an OP is not really an entry level watch. It uses the same movement as an Explorer and no-date Sub. Not even the marketing specifies it's an entry level. It's again hype and social media that makes you believe it's entry level. The OP was worn to summit Mount Everest and also used as a navigational industry to sail solo around the Clipper route in 1966. kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqZmsa-PqqyZopM.html

That is true! But it is entry level Rolex. It's their most inexpensive and basic offering :)
Why is the second hand on your watch at 2:47 moving backwards?

The clip is played in reverse 🔄. Because of focus reasons that’s the best way to get a smooth shot

Haha I thought I spotted an Easter egg in your video!
I liked it because it made it fun!
Thought the same Whoever in their marketing dept approved the Turquoise OP was banished! Then Watches & Wonders reveals relaunch of Turquoise with bubble gum balls! Shows nobody but Rolex knows what’s going on

Guessing you’re new to the hobby. There’s no correct wrist, it’s personal preference and also dependent on hand dexterity.

Im a right handed guy and Im wearing watches on that hand too. 🤷♂️. For me its feels right.

@@milsub59 no it doesnt. Special ppl have it one the right hand. 😁
Kind of babbled without a point and repeated the same phrase 40 times. Could have been a 30 second video. Aimless video.

I ensured that wouldn't be the case while writing my script, but good to know if that's how it came across to you. Perhaps you'd like to try some other video I've made?

Agreed. Less opinion videos bro (not your strength), more watch reviews of interesting watches.

@@StandardTime I've seen almost all of your videos andI encourage you to do more but this one was repetitive and aimless in my opinion. Also a bit dramatized where controversy was minimal and at times seemed like you were arguing with yourself and a bit contradictory. I don't think you should quit opinion videos but perhaps a better and clear approach to them would help. Wish you success.

Meandering from the start.....not sure what his point was.
The whole video you’re implying, that basically rolex doesn’t know what they’re doing. They didn’t do it right. The company that profits something like 1 billion dollars, the most sought after hard to get, top of the luxury watch segment, but the whole video you’re accusing them they don’t know what they’re doing. It’s pretty amazing really. Apparently you need to be the next CEO of Rolex.
What are you mumbling on about ffs?!
