That crew is something else
It is always a pleasure to see a new chapter.
Great story! Love these stories that show the everyday life on a "common" working star freighter! LOL!!!
Last time I got hiccups, I imitated the sharp inhaling action as if I had been scared. It worked!
A teaspoon of sugar beats hiccups every time.
I absolutely love ‘Medicinal Terror’ 😂
Ohhh i hate hiccups. Sometimes i get them and they go away quickly. But sometimes they can plague me virtually every waking moment for a week to two. 😧

Go low carb. You'll never have them again.

Holy crap ‼️
Brilliant story, keep em comeing...
There is a valve in the esophagus at the stomach that is supposed to allow stuff into the stomach but not back up. Sometimes the valve flips over the hole and is stuck. The hiccup is the body's way to remedy the situation. The best way is to swallow a lot of air then a lot of water. This amount of pressure on valve pushes it free. A startle will cause you to do a deep exhale and to tighten up your diaphragm for a scream. This also presses the valve and pops it back into place. I have to say, the alien's help was a bit much.
Brilliant.
Medicinal Terror - damn I love it
Thanks!

Thank you! I've about to bring MarlynnOfMany's book to the channel soon. It's this one: books2read.com/b/bOnEWJ So you'll need to look out for it in the next couple of weeks.
I do enjoy the day to day space travel stories, not every day is a movie level threat
I especially hate those painful hiccups that feel like your innards are getting crushed. I dunno if anyone has any idea what I'm on about. Like especially high pressure industrial strength hiccups that feel like your ribs are gonna implode. Only way I found helps is a big spoon full of sugar.
Stupid scary bug. But effective.
Close your throat and nose and try to breath out hard without letting air escape. Hiccups cured.
