We are super excited to chat with Shylo Malsawmtluanga, popularly known as Mama, the first star from Mizoram to play for India and the big clubs in Kolkata. Mama tells us how he started playing football when he was just a kid, and how he left his family and friends to follow his dream. He also shares how he became an idol for many young players in Mizoram, who look up to him and want to be like him. Mama is now a coach and a mentor for the Reliance Foundation Young Champs, a great academy that gives scholarships to talented kids from all over India. One of those kids is his own daughter, April, who plays in the RFYC Naupang League, a fun and competitive league for children in Mizoram. Mama opens up about his life, his work, and his vision for Mizoram football and Indian football.
