So here it is, my new longest video on this channel, beating Secrets of The NYC Subway - Part 4 by 38 seconds. This video will officially premiere while I'm on vacation on August 21st, so if you are reading this before that date, then you'll have to wait, sorry. When I come back from vacation, I will upload a video documenting my trip and what I saw, so stay tuned.

In an Alternate universe the second ind system was built
Funny
Interesting how much of the now IBX planned right of way would have been used by the L train.
Given the current decline and fall of New York City, I wonder if any of these extensions will EVER be built?!?! Thanks for documenting these plans, so that in the future, there will be a record of the hopes and dreams of an enhanced New York Subway system.
Awesome overview!
Utica Ave Fulton street provisions are quite pronounced.
Great video! When discussing the proposed extension of the Hillside Ave. line into Queens Village you note with a sigh @
The Utica Avenue line should be revived and built along with a revival of Floyd Bennett Field as a secondary/regional airport like LaGuardia to cater to regional flights to take some pressure off JFK across the harbour, and then connect the two with more automated skytrains!
You deserve at least 1 million subscribers
I appreciate the fact that the New York City Subway continues to dream up new expansion plans and continue to support old ideas.

VERY informative!!
You know just before arriving at Forest Hills going to Jamaica look to your left the tracks widen making space for QBL Supper Express
I hope the 2nd ave subway reinstates these lines.
To think that NYC could have ended up with a proper rapid transit system...
Interesting how many of the proposals were done in 1929 and then died
The mezzanine at the end of the flushing main street station is the provision for the lines extension. The mezzanine would be converted to a tunnel at track level.
