The Incredible Life of Wernher von Braun | From the Rockets of the Third Reich to the Moon

Ойын-сауық

What were von Braun's last days working for the Third Reich like? When and where did he surrender to the Americans? What type of interrogations did they do to you? Why was he recruited with Operation Paperclip? What was the first thing he did in the United States? When did he rise and become famous in the United States? What did he do at NASA? When and how did he die? These and many other questions are what we are going to solve in this program.

Wernher von Braun was a German pure Aryan man, a Prussian, a SS officer and brilliant rocket scientist. Without him, the Americans could not made own successful Rocket and Space program. That are the facts of truly and non hidden history. PS: They were not like him, but they needed him, after 1945. RIP!

And many people even does not recognize SS ranks. For example, Heinrich Himmler was Reichsfuhrera and that was the highest rank in the SS. In the alternative history movie, John Smith was just one rank low under 62 years old Reichsfuhrera, Heinrich Himmler. Be saluted!

I have a really hard time with Van Braun. He was excellent for the USA with a dark past albeit he renounced Nazism. I’m a teacher and always discussed his war days because he is a national figure and people have a right to know those things. I actually had a previous school remove Van Braun posters because they refused to teach students about his past. I still think about that and if it was the right thing. I don’t mind celebrating his progress for the USA but allow people to understand his past and make their own conclusion. Don’t hide it.

Well Von Brown was given the prince treatment by the US because he had what they didn't have. Other Germans were given the opposite treatment. By February 28, 1947, it was estimated that 4,160,000 German former prisoners of war, by General Dwight D. Eisenhower relabeled as Disarmed Enemy Forces in order to negate the Geneva Convention, were used as forced labor by the various Allied countries to work in camps outside Germany: 3,000,000 in Russia, 750,000 in France, 400,000 in Britain, and 10,000 in Belgium. A change in US and UK attitude only came when they were scared that Germans in their zones might go communist. The Western powers' worst fear by now was that the poverty and hunger would drive the Germans to Communism. General Lucius Clay stated "There is no choice between being a communist on 1,500 calories a day and a believer in democracy on a thousand." The US and v. Braun were a good fit. Both were opportunists without any morals.
