Not many games have boss battles like this where you properly feel like you’re going toe to toe with the opponent

I also like how most bosses have some move where they swat you away to encourage the use of throwables rather than brute force, while devil hulk doesn't and encourages you to run straight at him and face him head on. It works narratively as a way for Bruce to literally face his demons too

Devil hulk wasn’t wrong about Bruce Banner and his relationship with the hulk since his father was abusive to young Bruce for being so smart and murdered his mother right in front of him. Understandably traumatized, young Bruce coped by creating an imaginary friend which eventually became the hulk when affected by gamma radiation.

Banner's life has been a tragedy since he was a kid, and no matter how much he has tried life always seems to take the few happy things he gets in life. He and Peter Parker probably could bond on their shared tragedies alone.

@@Burning-Twilight absolutely, all Bruce has ever wanted was to be left alone along with being with the woman he loves, Betty. Though Bruce did find peace in the planet hulk storyline, where the Illuminati sent hulk into space to prevent him from harming anyone ever again.

Hulk was not an imaginary friend. Bruce developed dissociative identity disorder as a result of his fathers actions, the hulk is literally a split personality that reflects Bruce’s inner torment and feelings that’s became sentient and it’s own entity when he got hit with the gamma rays which is why hulk is jus angry and almost childlike. He’s the inner part of Bruce that he couldn’t let out

@@justinwill1163 yes that is the more accurate way of how Bruce inadvertently created the hulk, but was created whilst dealing with his abusive father who thought his son was a monster for being so smart. Then after being exposed to gamma radiation the identity Bruce created came to life and became forever cursed until the end of time, plus however long after that.

@@Devils_Lair_Comics That’s what I mean. Xbox has multiple OG Xbox and Xbox 360 games available on its older consoles to buy via backwards compatibility. Newer Xbox’s could easily play the original ultimate destruction, maybe make it look a little and better… They just need to get the permissions to do so from whomever owns the games rights.

Ron Perlman was also the voice of the Hulk if you remember the 90s Fantastic 4 animated series

This game reminds me of the hulk 2003 movie , fighting tanks and throwing them , jumping and catching helicopters and whole environment from desert to urban areas . Love it

@@darkblue1566 She gets retconned a lot. Either an alien, a fairy or a defective angel of death living in the body of someone who used to work for one of the Hulkbuster officers. Tried to euthanise the Hulk because she sensed Banner wanted the Hulk gone. Was part of the Thunderbolts team at the same time as Deadpool and Electra.

My favorite memories of thisngame are playing itnas a teen amd listening to Nirvana's Nevermind album on repeat while jumping through the desert getting over my first breakup. Weirdly great memories. Love this game. Hulk is the best Marvel character outside of Spiderman and Punisher.

There's a bit of speculation that a hulk game could be Insomniac's next game after wolverine given that marvel's og big 3 characters were Spider-Man, wolverine and the Hulk, and they've already got Spider-Man and wolverine covered

Ironic. Hulk may be a raging monster, but General Ross, Abomination, Devil Hulk, the Army, they were the real monsters who caused the Ultimate Destruction.

Ever since I've played this game, I used a couple of objects to destroy every bosses along by using the dropping elbow on giant machines!!!!

I cant believe devil hulk was around this early on! I played this as a kid. I must have hardly progressed in the story after seeing all these bosses

I made separate save files for each of the Bosses when I was a kid. That way I could go back a fight them whenever I liked

I like how green hulk is in this.

IKR, he's had quite an itinerary when it comes to voicing popular characters

planet hulk and world war hulk would be excellent video games if the industry was interested in the character

This game was even more fun if you played it as Joe Fixit.
