The Incredible Hulk - Caravan of Garbage
Ойын-сауық
The Incredible Hulk marks the second entry in the MCU with also the lowest box office return. Bringing on Edward Norton for his brief stint as Bruce Banner this incarnation is leaner, meaner, green...greyer and mostly forgotten despite some of it's elements eventually bleeding over into the wider universe. All in all this can safely be categorised as a movie we've reviewed on Caravan Of Garbage.

I've seen the deleted scenes of TIH. I remember that in the trailer, Doc Samson (Ty Burrell) and Bruce Banner were talking about his situation and that scene never made the cut. I think I liked that scene but it was weird because it also showed that Doc Samson and Betty were living together when she took Bruce in for the night. There are some scenes that were made more logical scene-wise but they do slow the pace down and may very well be completely unnecessary. I think the attempted suicide might be the only one worth adding in...maybe.

@@timrube No, they did. But everyone also expects Hulk to look exactly like Bruce Banner for whatever reason. And this movie is able to easily separate them in that way before much of Hulk's other traits show themselves. Also, being green isn't much of a big difference. Ruffalo Hulk still looks like Ruffalo. Gamora still looks like Zoe Saldana. The fact they're green doesn't change that. Hulk's personality in the beginning of the movie isn't much different from Bruce's. He just wants to be left alone, and he will defend himself if he has to. And as such, the rage part didn't really come out until the college fight.
The Bruce Banner/Hulk relationship is so complex and interesting in the comics and I feel like we’ve never really gotten that in any live action movie. There are ideas from the Hulk 2003 and this one that are good, but neither were able to faithfully adapt the character in my opinion

Honestly I just love the contrast between Banner and Hulk; he's not supposed to be the same person. This design is just so fitting for Hulk, it feels like just body is being stretched to its limits. Nothing has reached the level of this Hulk imo, and this movie is a breath of fresh air compared to all the recent MCU projects.

Editors, the “sound of a minigun” is EXTREMELY good. Paused to immediately rewatch, y’all do GREAT work on these!!!!
This is my preferred design of the Hulk. I love the wider build, I love the giant hands and feet, it really works in my opinion. The design from Avengers to Ragnarok is okay, it's a bit gorilla like, and that's fine, I don't mind him being a bit more hunchback and longer armed, but the Norton version of Hulk just looks better in my opinion. I also love how such a thin and lankier Bruce turns into this roided out monster, it plays better. I like Ruffalo, and had he always been Bruce then people would probably see this movie, which is an underrated gem, as being more part of the MCU, but I do kind of wish Norton had been able to stick around because the characters of Bruce and Hulk and their physiques really need to contrast and I don't think it's quite as effective with Ruffalo. Although the design of Hulk was completely redone, too, so maybe had Ruffalo played the role in 2008, they would have also carried over the design of Hulk, too, into Avengers. Oh well. Still love this movie though.
James’ repeating the word Mini Gun with the music at 14:53 and 15:16 took me out of the entire video, I was laughing for a good 5 minutes at the beat and everything. I love these guys so much. #CornofCoblin4Life
I’m just here for James repeated recognition of “blue harvest” as the original Star Wars title. As a result, I literally walk around waiting for other people to randomly assert this piece of trivia to my face everyday.
I actually quite liked Abomination's design in this movie over his other appearances. It's so just so monstrous which is perfect. The new Abomination looks so baby-faced (for lack of a better phrase) and disarming. Such beautiful and gentle eyes. Had they just taken this look, made him a bit more green, and slapped those funky ears on him, I'd be okay with it.
Still has one of the best lines in comicbook movie history: "You're gonna have a lot of professional tough-guys pissing in their pants, Sir".

Stan Lee, being the Marvel creator Stan Lee, is a god like being in the MCU who can be whomever, whatever, wherever he wants to be.
Personally, I think Edward Norton was a far superior Bruce Banner. He actually captures being a scientist, while Ruffalo captures being a shy nerd. They changed the title of the movie because Edward Norton insisted on putting in a plotline where Bruce Banner discovers Q-anon. Norton believed they could keep the title, but Marvel would only keep the plotline if the title was changed, Norton very humbly compromised to keep the plotline. The plotline was cut right before the premiere because Q-anon didn't exist yet.
