The Importance Of Education - What's The Real Purpose Of Education?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The importance of education is far beyond any simplistic explanation.
What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about education? Is it schools? Family education? Universities?... What is it? Take your time and really contemplate upon this idea.
Most people assume that a good education means to get good grades and to be well-behaved, but that is a BIG mistake, because it is only partial correct. If you see things that way, you just limit yourself. Your education doesn't have to stop right after you graduate. You must continue educating yourself up until the moment you die, because education is a never-ending process. Continuing education is definitely the key element most people don't even take into consideration, and that is what will limit yourself.
The importance of education is something that our society hasn't really grasped its significance yet. The culture you live in, the environment, the people you interact with - all of these factors have a massive impact upon the way you perceive things, in this case, the importance of education.
So, why is education important, and what is its real purpose?
The real purpose of education is to evolve yourself. Education is meant to help you reach a higher state of being, which is far beyond finishing your higher education, or earning any sort of degrees.
Education is a journey, a journey that should get you to the highest stages of human development. But, to make things easier to understand, let's link this hypothesis to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, which is a theory in psychology proposed by Abraham Maslow in his 1943 paper "A Theory of Human Motivation" in Psychological Review. This theory represents human psychological development according to their needs. The hierarchy has 6 tiers. Maslow used the terms "physiological" (the lowest), "safety", "belonging and love", "social needs" or "esteem", "self-actualization", and "self-transcendence" (the highest) to describe the pattern through which human's development move - THE REAL PURPOSE OF EDUCATION is to help you get through these stages.
This kind of information is a rare gem, as almost nobody talks about these things, and so, there is a tendency to over simplify the things that really matter.
Because now you know how important the education is, you must start taking action by continuing educating yourself.
Good luck! :)

It is also worth mentioning the need to study something you are interested in. It may take time to figure out and you do not have to be right the first time you try (unless your student debt says otherwise).

Education is discipline. If you know its important although you just have to go through with it, you’ll definitely go places. On the other hand... there are many who think they wont learn a thing there. These are the people who can’t work except dreaming about doing the next big thing, because of their lack of discipline.

Im 26 and planning to go back to school after the harsh reality of me trying to pursue my career with limited resource. In analogy: I want to play tennis, but i dont have shoes and the racket that i use, is only made of wooden rod. To play in pro level, i definitely will lose, but i kept dreaming about trying to hit it as hard as i can, and guess what. I wasted 5years of my life. I start to re-learn math and abit of IT stuff at the age 23. Not just being laughed by society because im a failure, i also have to deal with the POWERLESS of not being able to help my brother with liver disease. If someone wanna laugh that education is not important, man all i wanna say is. IM a freaking ANTI-SOCIAL, i dont need to listen to anyone, i live with my PRINCIPLE. I learn, then i move one, rather than listening to the say-so by society with their ignorant of being norm. Nobody is gonna be able to help me and my family, EXCEPT EDUCATION. Ofc this only applies to unsuccessful athlete or artist. If ure sucessful artist or athlete, then go on. Keep it up. Since im alrd adult, ofc i dont go for useless degree, and i definitely know how much im gonna make per year, despite having student loan. And not just that, to be able to do the practical and research in physics in top STEM school, is definitely the kind of experience that really want to have. I want to major in physics and biochemistry and also economics. I know its so anime vibe, but im FREAKING SERIOUS AS HECK NOW! IM so sick of being USELESS HUMAN ON EARTH! Waiting to be feed.
