China’s imperial examination dates back to 581 AD in the Sui Dynasty, and has influenced to this day civil service examinations in both Europe and East Asia. Over centuries, these examinations produced many scholars of outstanding talent and virtue to help the royal courts run state affairs at all levels, and offered the general public an opportunity of mobility in society. This imperial examination ended in the final days of the Qing Dynasty in 1905 when the Republic of China was established. Today, China’s national college entrance exams are no longer inheriting the past traditions, but have instead become a tool of the Chinese communist party to sustain its Orwellian society.

Again enjoying watching this history as I sit in my home garden built tea shrine with Buddha burning incense and drinking a wonderful pot of Gunpowder Green Tea😊🍵. Chinese Royalty back then had it 100% right.

There is writing skill. But personality types also matter for the job. Some people don't have the right core behavioural pattern for leadership which is hard to change and remains mostly static.
