The book of Hosea is one of those books that seems to be filled with a lot of what may seem like contradictions in the word and the character of God.
Yet, a careful look and study of this book will reveal that God is impartial and un-relentless in His love to his children and to humans. Often, a lot of the other religions always quote passages like this to state that the bible has been adulterated, or that God cannot be a loving God because he approved of so many wars in which women and children were killed. Some would claim that He seems unperturbed by the wickedness and injustices going in the world. In the first place, such people are not able to perceive the Love of God because they are blinded to the reality of things.
