Imagine having limited resources on your own planet and then seeing a world of insects with plentiful items. They are weak and insignificant, living for less than a day compared to your lifespan and are undeveloped. Omni-man had a reason and that was to add Earth to the Viltrum empire.

I like to think the twins weren't given dud schematics. The collar was made correctly and it just couldn't subdue The Immortal's rage.

He didn't do much damage to Omni-man though. Red Rush F#$%ed him up the most. He gave him internal bleeding, then Martian, War Woman, and Immortal together busted him up a bit. The second time around Immortal was enraged and fresh, while Omni-man was a little worn out from Cecils attempts at slowing him down. Then Omni-man still killed him rather easily. But I DO like the Immortal though. I can't wait for him to come back again.

Immortal scales closer to Mark than Omni-man to be honest (though Immortal is still stronger and more experienced than Mark). Omni-man is quite a bit more powerful than everyone on Earth.

Gotta give credit to The Immortal. He got absolutely destroyed when he fought against Omniman previously, but he doesn't even hesitate for a second to seek out and try to kill the person who killed his friends. Even when he has a FUCKING FIST lodged through his chest, he stills fights back.

I think he did , Immortality actually means you won't die from natural causes but you can be killed . Cybertronians are immortal but they can be killed . He also tried to behead him so he cannot regenerate and will stay down for good .

I like to imagine that for most of immortals time alive he was pretty much just as tough and durable as a normal human which makes hime being a knight and soldier and Abe Lincoln more believable and fun but then he really developed his super powers in the 1930s and was pretty much the world’s first real superhero

The Immortal only had 7 minutes in the entire series but he has a solid fanbase. I will say that while he got taken out twice, he bloody well went out like a boss. Especially the second time. He just went berserk. Omni-Man looked like he actually had to TRY against Immortal. Personally, I would not be against the Immortal getting more screentime in Season 2, maybe a bit more on his character and the actual depth of his powers (I don't know much). He seemed to be STRONGER the second time... I wonder if he gets stronger everytime he comes back. Makes me wonder what will happen if there is a Round 3. Also, is it me or is his costume actually not bad looking?

I agree from what I read each time Immortal gets Revived He gets Stronger 💪 & More Durable. So if the writers continue The Animated series Invincible & Have Immortal vs Omniman; the tides can turn & we might actually see Immortal absolutely wreck Omniman. Side note if they Show Thragg the Emperor of the Viltrumite's in which He is by far the strongest Viltrumite Thragg would wreck Omniman within seconds. In the comics Thragg does to Omniman what Omniman has done to Immortal.

Looking back on Immortals mistrust towards Omni man was a good detail and makes a lot more sense now considering he lived a long life and long enough to see kingdoms, cultures, and civilizations rise and fall. He’s old enough that he seen it all at this point. He witnessed and battled aliens, monsters, God like beings and more to know there was something wrong and off with Nolan. The story everyone got from him was he was sent there to earth to help and share ideals and technology and give them a hand every once in awhile. Immortal lived long enough to know how colonialism works. He experienced the same pattern before, different style and scale. He isn’t called Immortal for nothing, He witnessed his fair share of atrocities as well.

The way that they animated war woman and the immortal ganging up and just continually and ineffectively punching omniman cracked me up

For what I heard, Omni-Man is on the 10% of the strongest on his planet. So Inmortal could take down a good amount of viltrumites. So that's another reason why he and the rest of the guardians of the globe had to go for the viltrumites to conquer.

Yeah and at this point there's only a few dozen of them left. Turns out when you conquer a galaxy, someone will invent kryptonite ebola to genocide your species. If I understand, this is why Omniman was scouting earth. Humans are very close to baseline Viltrumites they could in theory use them are breeding stock to rapidly repopulate with little genetic compromise. And much to Omniman's horror, it turned out to be correct or better in the form of Mark being almost completely pure Viltrumite. That's why he couldn't wait. Earth just became the most important planet in the universe for his empire.

Its explained in the comics a little bit but we'll see what they do for season 2

He has such a cool looking backstory, I'd love to see a TV show on him

It took me years to realize cecil wanted immortal to stay dead until he figured out how to take omni man out so he didnt revive him

I kinda like to think Omni man went after immortal cause he knew he would’ve gave him a somewhat equal fight

If only the immortal was given high durability

God this show was phenomenal.

I guess Immortal was the Superman of this Earth before Omni Man came along

The immortal is my favorite character

I don’t know why but I just love watching the immortal and Omni man duke it out It’s a battle of facial hair

When immortal punched him it looked like omni man’s eye was gonna pop out and every blow drew blood

Hope we get more of Immortal in season 2.

He has nice eyelashes too, I like the added detail. See how his ahev length and omnia's don't. Love when animation adds little distinctions.

To see such a betrayal get paid back in determination. To see omni man get hurt in his superman eyes is so satisfying.

In moment when he was reviled I litteraly can feel he's rage and fury through the screen

Ngl i feel like if he wasn't blinded by rage, the immortal could have actually stander a chance and beat him

I wish Immortal would develop some advantage over omni-man and other Viltramites. Like armour or something

I love him so much. I hope they don’t write him into a complete asshole in the next season. I feel like this is one of the most reasonable characters in the whole show. He has every right to be pissed.

Huh, I never noticed the contrast. Immortal was getting his ass kicked because he was concerned about the soldiers he was trying to save. Omni-Man was bodied because he was trying to save his son. It's weird, they've always hated each other, but they are a lot alike. Omni-Man would never admit it because he knows Immortal is his main threat. Immortal would never admit it, because he is jealous of Omni-Man. We do tend to hate people who remind us of our own faults.

Yeah. I think 0:44 sort of was the first hint that Omni-Man and The Immortal are rivals, and don’t really like one another. And when he attacked the Guardians, Omni-Man tried to kill The Immortal first because he’s the only one who can really match Omni-Man.

So this dude is the hero version of vandal savage

It pains me that the writers have never brought up that The Imnortal's existence disproves Omni Man's view of human life.

same. The immortal is basically what if omni-man was raised on earth, while red rush carried the entire guardians of the globe.

For all the guardians that died here; there’s a brief scene where they all have to bid farewell to their lives before they get killed by Omni-man, and they all leave parts of their lives unresolved. Aquarius leaves a kingdom behind War woman has a company and a girlfriend Darkwing left those two convicts chained up Green ghost had a modeling career Red rush left Olga behind Martian man left behind that orphan girl Yet the Immortal is the only one who gets closure in his life, he was already doing hero work before he gets called; and his mission involves him putting down a man who had cancer anyway. There’s nothing left unsaid, it’s pure closure and finality. I dunno; I think it’s actually pretty cool how in hindsight, the Immortal actually has an anti-death flag here
