Despite being formally disbanded by the pope 51 years earlier, when Norway first got its modern Constitution in 1814, it did still take the time to explicitly ban the Jesuits from entering the country (Jews were unfortunately also banned). But they still were there, so it make sense to still legislate against them ^^ And if you're wondering why the Pope banned them, then his successor changed his mind, it's because of the Enlightenments. And twenty years later, the French revolted, with the ideas of the Enlightments as their main inspiration, and decapitated a king to proclaim a Republic... Let's just say, that it changed the opinion of a lot of monarchs about this whole Enlightment XD And so after the big mess that had been Napolon's wars, the Pope thought it could be a good time to reinstate the jesuits that he never really wanted to ban in the first place XD
