This is actually a common problem among non-DLC characters: if you're playing a character you grew up with you can immediately see that they don't really represent the source material.The best example of it is Wario who's not really a Wario Land character and not really a Warioware character and more like well Wario rides a bike and farts in lore sometimes.

Why is this video actually more entertaining than most other videos I'm getting in my recommended? Very underrated, keep it up!

I have a similar grievance with Mii's in smash. I would've like there to still be 3 Miis, but each of them with a focus on different Mii sub series. One of them being based around the Sports/Party games, one of them being focused on the streetpass games in streepass mii plaza, and the other being the protagonist character from Miitopia/your look-alike mii from Tomodachi life. I think if there only had to be one, I think focusing on Streetpass Mii Plaza is probably the best in terms of variety. I think a mii based on Miitopia hero would be the most emotional one here personally, since they are an actual character as opposed to a blank slate

i think Miis being ignored is largely due to them not being available in 4 online

That makes plenty of sense. Plus, to actually play as a Mii, you had to make one in a menu that was hidden away in a sub-menu, making the Miis undiscovered by most people.

This is really all it is. I would not even say the mii is ignored in smash ultimate, there are much more unpopular characters in ultimate than the mii.

Fun fact, Snake was supposed to be in Melee, but they couldn’t get it all figured out before release so they had to cut him, hence why we got Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for the GameCube. Apparently Hideo Kojima LOOOOVED Smash Bros and was buddies with Sakurai

If only characters could consistently represent their games lol. Definitely lots of neat ideas here. Seems like lots of people are hungry for more Mii action. Who knows what the new system will bring within the next couple of years.

I love the Mii Fighters and Mii's in general so I respect your admiration for wanting to see actually Mii representation as a playable moveset. I liked this video however I'm not sure I would spend development resources on a brand new Mii when I figure the three we have now are already a high maintenance trio. I would satisfied by having more Mii original costumes that can have them in their original body shape with floating hands, and more pulls from Streetpass, Tomodachi, and Miitopia.

Thanks for the kind words! I agree, it would be unnecessary work for the dev team, that's why I don't reckon we'll get a concept anything close to this lol. This more of a "Dream Move-Set" than anything haha.

Two things 1) I heard people talk about if Smash Bros would get a new game, they would totally revamp the whole thing, and update move sets and change like. Example: making Mario's move set more modern, maybe like a forward dash that's from Super Mario Odyssey. ) And if that happens and the Mii's come back, I hope they would make the Mii's move set way more integrated with their history, the move set you created. 2) Nintendo hasn't been too nice to the Mii's through the switch's lifespan, making the mii maker just a setting option, removing the music, not having Mii's in Nintendo Switch Sports, and barely any games with the Mii's (also not having Tomodachi Life on the Switch). So even IF they revamp move sets in a possible new Smash Game, I'm not sure if they would even attempt... or even bring Mii's back, if Nintendo wants to move away from the Mii's. Bonus 3) WHAT IF, they keep the 3 Mii fighters.... but they would bring the Sportmates into Smash and incorporate a Wii Sports/Wii Sports Resort/Nintendo Switch Sports move set? No...? okay nevermind then bad idea

Nah, that's a good idea! I like all the current Mii Fighters, so to have them all back AND have another one on top who references the Wii Sports games would be a blimmin dream come true!!

The thing with Mii Figthers is that they are designed to lack references so that you can you can put any outfit to reference any character and make it still fit

That's true! Actually, in my original script, I listed a bunch of ideas for costumes that the new Mii Fighter could wear! Like the Swordplay Armour in Wii Sports Resort, or the Baseball Uniform in Wii Sports, or the Life Preserver that they wear when Powercruising. Or even stuff like the Ring Fit Adventure character's costume, since that's another fitness game ya know? (I wrote down so much stuff haha)

YES, YES YES, This is what I am always talking about, the lack what Wii sports representation always bother me, like not even a classic route. (i made te classic route concepts that appears in your google search by the way)

I always imagined the closest we got was Brawler Mii being most of what Athlete Miis were, With Shot Put being like a Combo of the Bowling Ball and Base Ball, and Brawler being alot like Boxer, like how Swordfighter could be seen as a semi call back to Swordfighting. Gunner...should've been Mage, or Ranger, where they excell at various long ranged weapons dependant on Special Moves.

Great concept! As someone who has casually made a few different fan moveset for potential 4th mii candidates I'm surprised that I didn't consider a sportsman mii! I personally might just focus on physical and gear related sports, so the moveset doesn't overlap too much with mii brawler and so the game can have as little amount of objects loaded as possible, but I like your more varied take a lot too! Though maby just "Mii Athlete" or another similar sports term would work better, since it's gender neutral like the other ones and then a 50/50 default feminine/masculine would be more likely, but that's just a minor nitpick.

Thanks so much! I really wanted to cram a bunch of references to all the different sport related games the Miis have been in, so I went crazy with the moveset haha. Also, you're so right, "Mii Athlete" is alot better for various reasons, but I only thought of that after finishing like 80% of the video lol. I couldn't be bothered to change it at that point 😅

So adding a 4th Mii, Mii Olympian? neutral B is a quick spam of the tennis racket? 😂

I actually had this same idea before and made a concept of the moves a couple years back, it's lost now, and I don't take credit for anything btw

Never really liked the Mii fighters' inclusion since they lacked references, move sets are boring/laggy. In ultimate, it does not sound like me and don't have a mage class.
