Merus might be future Zeno's Grand Priest undercover. He knows that Goku took him to another timeline so he followed!

I believe that Meerus was an angel from one of the erased universes that Zeno destroyed.

i thought that meerus might be something like a grandchild to the high priest but he could also be like a cousin but we dont know how the angels or the grand priest reproduce erathlings and sayjans getting pregnant, namekians "lay" eggs, kais are born from a tree (if i remember correct) having the same father makes you a sibling, so all angels are sibling, but that doesnt mean they all have the same mother there is a lot about the angels we dont know

This is true on the reproduction of the Angels. I have thought that maybe they have a divine birth similar to the Kai's which are born from divine fruit of the Shinjin tree. That somehow they were all born from The Grand Priest so there is no mother. There are a lot of possibilities as you mention.

You make being a fan of Dragon Ball that much better! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Yup, you were right. The fact that Whis and the Grand Priest even know of Merus is evidence enough that he is part of something bigger. He performed a little too perfectly against Goku, Vegeta and Moro to be an ordinary being. I like his style, I always have, so hopefully this is a character that will stick around, considering he obviously knows ultra instinct and has every intent on training Goku to get better with it.

The movie clash of the titans is actually based of the book of enoch where the nephilims (hybrid giants) fought and killed each other

Yea I almost went into nephilims but instead thought just make the quick reference to Zeus would work. The concept of nephilims has always been a fascinating one. I haven't read the book of enoch but it's been referenced so many times maybe I should one day. I am older so I enjoyed the original Clash of Titans and watched it growing up.

My theory is Meerus is an angel not a hybrid and was once Moro’s servant; but Moro as a god was greedy and had lust for power which drove him to being evil and Zeno noticed this, which is why he erased the entire universe but kept Moro imprisoned and Merrus went back to the angel’s world and wait for his next job as a god of destruction intendant. But when hearing the news that his old evil god (Moro) has escaped he secretly joins a group of patrol hero fighter in disguise so people won’t notice he an angel that is out of place. While doing this he searches for fighters to take down Moro. One time while on his Patrol job he meets a humble fighter “Goku” and decides to teach him some fighting techniques to be able to take down Moro.

finally! you’re back after your time off from activating the Kaioken x50! nah i’m calling it now, merus is the grand priest’s secret love child with bulma😂

Wow I just thought of something what if Merus is part Angel and part Supreme Kai in the mixed blood makes him a bit stronger then the other regular Angels, but at the same time he doesn't like drawing all the attention to himself that all his powers bring so he tries to stay as lowkey as possible. 🤔

I think Merus is an angel, but his role is different from Whis and the rest of the angels. I believe that he is an angel in training, and was sent to universe 7 by the grand priest to test him and his abilities. What if Merus is training in order to replace Whis? 😂 just joking. Once again a great video keep up the great work.

I got a theory: What if Meerus's GoD was slain by Moro and Meerus is just out for justice? Think about it, Meerus goes undercover, sort of defying the Angel laws, all in order to get justice for for his GoD. Maybe Meerus went to the Grand Priest about it but told him that the Angels "have their duties" and for him to not "compromise his job" as that. So, reading between the lines, Meerus went to the Galactic Patrol to investigate, find, arrest, and bring to justice to Moro while maintaining his position as an Angel and using others like Vegeta and Goku as "excessive force " to take him down or to destroy him if necessary. Thoughts? If it sounds good, could you do a video on it @Whatiftheories?

I hope in later arcs we get a scenario in a future arc where there is a Theme like civil war where somehow the zenos erase each other & the GP Has to step up keep order in existence but feels like he likes the way things are But the gods & angel feel otherwise so the 2 & other beings take sides in a crazy fight To bring back the omniking with the super dragonballs.

Wouldn't doubt he's a Kai until we see his ears.

I believe Merus was an Angel and Moro was his god of destruction. Moro turned on Meus and Merus had to imprison him. Merus was probally banished for Moro's transgressions. The only thing that confuses me is to why Merus kneels. It's just a theory. All I know is that for once can Vegeta be the one that saves the day?

Hmmmm never thought about that. I don't really know or have a favorite honestly. I just like interesting stories or backstories. So what's going on planet Yardrat is fascinating and think they are a important species. Also they might be in every Universe since oddly enough there was one in Universe 2.

Merus has a plan to get goku stronger. When moro absorbs goku he will at least have chance against the omini king. I think the GP is involved with this plan....

Maybe Merus is one of the top 5 fighters in the multiverse besides the grand priest.

The birth of the Angels is still a mystery and I didn't go into it in this video as it didn't quite fit. It's possible they have a divine birth like the Kai's who are born from divine fruit. Maybe there is no mother and the Grand Priest has some divine method which all Angels are born from. Yes I think Whis would be saddened if U7 got erased.

I would have to say Beerus but obviously we lack information on the other gods. The god that I most want to know about and think could be cool is Giin or Geene of Universe 12. He seems the most knowledgeable and his Universe gave birth to time travel. So I would love to know more about him and that Universe.

The fact that Merus has purple skin tells me he might be a hybrid angel. He honestly looks like he could be half Supreme Kai or half Earthling. Come to think of it, that one ability Whis used to facilitate Bulla's birth could be connected to the idea of an angel impregnating another race. I don't really know what motive Whis would have for doing this, but maybe an angel from one of the erased universes did this as a last resort? Idk
