The Quasi and Frollo in this production are broadway-caliber, no joke! Seriously impressive

it's so quick but when Quasimodo is reunited with his parents is probably one of my favorite moments.

Quasimodo is perfect and the blocking for Hellfire gave me serious CHILLS! Very impressed with this production!

He was absolutely perfect! So good!

Now I see why they say the source material for the Disney version of this story is so much darker. I never read the book nor saw the play or an original movie using the novel as its source growing up. But I was aware it wasn't a happy ending as depicted in Disney's version. It makes me respect this story in all of its versions that much more. Wonderful performances by the entire cast.

That Made of Stone finale! This is great. I love the bit where his mother puts his deformity on then wipes it away at the end.

Wanna hear a heartbreaking theory? In the song "Out There " the line “all I ask is one to hold forever” could be a reference to the book where Quasimodo dies holding Esmeralda’s corpse until he dies of starvation and their bones are tangled together. Just a theory, albeit a sad one.

I agree. This story was so dark,for a Disney movie. The death scene was so heartbreaking,with Quasimodo's foster mother seeing the green satin baby shoe that Esmerald had that was the mate to her stolen daughter's shoe,and, realizing too late who Ezmeralda really was. Nobody had a happy ending,in that story.

I'm studying Quasimodo's "Out there" and I ended up in tears. Thank you for this beautiful and innocent interpretation.

The vibrato Brady does is one of the strongest I've heard of ANY singer or performer, and this is including singers from huge Broadway and West End productions. His first at 11:31 is especially amazing, he holds it so well and steady. Stunning performance Brady!

I can't remember the last time I had tears actually stream down my face like how they just did while I watched this rendition of "Out There". Oh my goodness, absolutely wonderful.

Wow... I only listened to "out there". Strong belt and nice vibrato. Really great!

This is the first ever performance I watched of Hunchback, I didn't even watch the movie first. I was not disappointed, you have a God given talent Brady!

Frollo's voice when he speaks sounds like Corey Burton as Captain Hook!

I like the added snippets off Frodo's story, to show why he became as he did. He doesn't need a Cruella movie, just some extra parts to explain

This is amazing. Everybody does incredible work. Thank you for sharing this! Hunchback is so special to me. You did a wonderful job as Quasimodo, and Frollo is appalling in all his great acting. Phoebus was delightful to watch and Esmerelda knew exactly what she was doing! The rest of the cast(some main names are slipping my mind right now) ruled the roost and the choir OWNED it. Im honored to be able to see you all act this for free.

this was a little different from the one from Michael Arden. However, I LOVED how y'all did the "FIRE" with the fog. THAT WAS AWESOME. I could feel the "FLAMES". GOOD JOB OVERALL :)

quasi is able to sing! He’s been in the bell tower for 20 years and he can sing and sing and sing. Especially that if I were made of stone that note for I don’t know how long in the audience began clapping. And I’m like I think Quasimodo has gone mad he’s not feeling very well today and he still singing. I mean if I were an audience member or even a cast member I would’ve got up and said hey that was a great song. That would be breaking character but who cares. I would say that was a great song man I will take you home so we can go get some Starbucks tea or something OK and I’m ranting. what I’m saying is he can sing and he holds that note. Because Quasimodo was lived in the tower for 20 years and can sing and sing and sing and never get tired of singing and everybody can hear it.

One of my all time favorite musicals. The power all the songs hold, the emotion, the story. Perfection

Well done. You’ve done something I didn’t think possible. I can sit through Les Miserables without crying. I listen to sad songs by the dozen, sad but staying strong. But that last line, the one about the two skeletons, was just too much. I cried at that line. Take my like. You’ve more than earned it. If there were more I could do, I would. This production is masterful. The singing was flawless, except when the flaws were intentional. The only thing harder than singing well is intentionally singing poorly, and Brady’s intentional hoarseness beautifully complimented the character without being distracting. Bravo. Bravo!

I watched on KZread the performance of this musical at La Jolla Theater in San Diego where the broadway version was first mounted. The same cast also made a recording which I listen to often. I caught on KZread another production of this musical from a high school in Florida which I also enjoyed. Now, I am very happy to have bumped into your production which I am thoroughly enjoying. Needless to say, I am an avid fan of the “Hunchback.” However, I am so disappointed that this musical never made it to broadway. The equity would not approve the performance of the additional choir who are not members.

Your tone and placement are INCREDIBLE!! Any tips for an aspiring Quasimodo? I'm classically trained as well, so its refreshing to not hear as much of a pop influence.

Thank you so much! Really appreciate it. Sure thing, in fact my main tip is related to the end of your comment. Whatever you do, do not attempt to recreate the “pop” sound from the show unless it’s something you can do naturally. I made the mistake of trying to sound like the standard Quasimodo at the beginning of rehearsals and vocally suffered for it. Trying to use that very forward, belty pop sound made notes like the Bb4 in Made of Stone impossible and I left feeling like garbage after every rehearsals. It took me nearly two months to realize my mistake and correct to my classical technique and let my natural baritone sound come through, and that’s when the role suddenly “clicked” vocally and my voice just strengthened from there. So basically have confidence in your tone, remember your job isn’t to copy the folks before you. Sing as yourself. Also, be careful of the “deaf voice”, practice that and make sure it doesn’t hurt your voice as that can be potentially straining-and honestly it is NOT necessary to use any semblance of that voice when he’s on his own or with the gargoyles. I dropped the voice for those scenes and spoke in my natural voice for the sake of vocal preservation.

@@bradylove9825 It also serves as a really great metaphor for Quasimodo being able to fully articulate himself when he's alone. A win win for the actor and character!!!

this production is so wonderful! Every single cast member does such a good part I mean they all do their characters justice! Especially the guy playing Quasimodo, he gives a character a horse voice without coming off as too noisy or too loud or too soft. I think that girl playing Esmeralda gives her a very theatrical voice which I like. Actually every cast member gives the characters unique voices to listen to and recognize in here and watch and enjoy. I said the sun another video of hunchback musical and I’ll say the ending upsets me very much. Because that girl had to die. Actually everybody had to die except for Phoebus! Not cool. I just don’t like sad endings that’s all. Quasimodo and phobias had survived and Esmeralda had survived and for a long time it would be a happier ending. in my heart I always change the ending for a happier one when I’m watching this musical. But I still love this musical very much and I wish that if I teach theater one day which I want to do maybe have my drama class watch it. I’ll just tell them the entire story. And I play each song for them. I’ll do it that way. i’ll just tell them and play the songs that way they can watch and understand. And if it’s this version of the story I will change the ending for a happier one. But I love every actor in this performance!

this is for my own dramaturgy! 25:21 - rest and recreation 38:42 - sanctuary ii

Although this is a wonderful production, I would still love to see an English language version of "Notre-Dame de Paris" by Riccardo Cocciante (also known as Richard Cocciante), Luc Plamondon & Will Jennings. As of this date, the only video production is in French with English subtitles. And although it is a truly amazing production, you miss out on it, because of trying to read the subtitles.

Never understood how the brother had the nerve to bitterly talk to Frolo, despite it being his own fault that he ruined his own life, and brought a child without parents into the world.
