Saw this in person at the museum a couple weeks ago - absolutely beautiful bike.

This is literally a dream bike for me. My favorite Marvel hero growing up was and still is The Hulk. The first bike I rode was a KX 85, so Kawasaki green runs through my blood. Amazing machine. Some day...

Jackie doesn't like all of that noise and ruckus! 😂😂.....That is one superior, scary fast, unimaginable powered machine. The long strip of land, across the street from your museum was no way no way near long enough for that Hulkster 500 KX. I know you're gonna have alot of fun opening that bike up at your compound. That's literally the kind of space you need. Christie did a phenominal job on those amazing graphics. The bike looked like it was almost uncontrollable with your holeshots. What I loved the most is the minute the front wheel of that bike went from concrete to that long strip of grass, with your going slow on the concrete, you cracked the throttle to wide open, and that bike took off faster and more agressively than an dirtbike I have ever seen. Totally droolworthy and jawdropping! 😲😲

Still the original owner of my 2000 kx 500. I want it to sound like this, gave me chills cause I know how scary that beast is, that bike commands respect cause if you dont your getting hurt real bad.

Just got done watching the Wizards kx500 and it's always been one of my favorites on the channel but this one right here has definitely been a favorite buy a bunch of us absolutely one of the greatest 500s in the world it looks amazing and everything about it is trickery don't get no better than that💪🏻💪🏻💚👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇲✌🏼

It's that pipe. The 2 stroke is a mathematical equation. That bike hit all the right parameters. Sounds so good I have goosebumps.

It's definitely the porting. The pipe is a nice complementary mod. I had an old school FMF pipe on it & it felt pretty much the same.

@@keithpeterson6108 yep porting contributed a major part of that mathematical equation. Squish volume..it easy to make it to tight in this world of higher compression the better..it's not a 454 big block.

@tommy martin I had the plating stripped so I could do some welding in the ports. Then a light bore just to clean up the welding that protruded into the bore. Then laid out my port windows & worked in from there. It looks like a totally different jug vs the original port layout. I do a lot of race sled builds & this sort of stuff is pretty much standard procedure for me on those. Especially on the vintage race engines. It's labor intensive, but the results are massive, so worth it.

Im also a CR guy. Started with a 1985 cr500 in the early 2000s in my early 20s and have never rode anything other than a 500 since!!! Currently only have a 2004 KX500 so i really enjoy your KX vids. Keep up the good work Ken you guys are awsome and this is my favorite youtube channel! Thanks for all the vids and keep em coming!!

that bike is exceptional, best as could be, top notch. it'd be interesting to see it with good rider race another 500 with good rider. you are on the ball Kaplan you and your team work like a fine oiled machine. you guys keep on with what you do and you consistently crank out vids. pretty impressive you guys and your shop are tops in your field or could be said industry. props to you all.

I literally designed this same Hulk (Green) scheme for my KX450 22' but decided to go with the Moster Factory look. I should send it in for Print with Decal Works or of the Designers I use.

I bought one brand new in 1999 put a fmf pipe and silencer went a tooth up on the sprocket and jetted it to perfection it went so fast it would hover and legit 115 monster i miss that bike badly went 3 years unbeaten at bulls gap sand hill mio michigan

Looks like a cpi styled pipe. I have a stock, PC, gnarly , and old fatty, and a big boy cpi for my k5 . Spare heads, one race gas head. SASS ported. Love k5, Loving this k5 video.

Growler Racing is the exhaust builders. They have 2 versions. An mx version (which I have) & a rev version.

Yep, as someone said, much of the performance and personality is tied to that pipe. Someone knew what the hell they were doing when they built that beauty to complement the tuners stated (major) work (pics/specs posted somewhere?) on port tunnels, transfer angles, and likely t/a changes. A quick pipe swap while on Ken's dyno anyway, could be an eye opener, and really open the hi-end cone pipe market for the builder and distributor(s) (Ken?). (edit: a well thought out and structured reply to Mr. Peterson on 6-1-23 initially posted, but now seems to have gone missing...something I said ?).

I had an old school FMF pipe on it & it felt the same. Definitely not gonna be sharing the port work anywhere. That's what called valuable information. Not being a jerk about it. I build race engines for the sled world & that is a tight lipped community on sharing anything. So for that reason, I don't want to put anything out there that will help the competition. My clients pay good money for their builds & in turn, I don't share what I did.

I built it with the old 1992 fat front fender & original kx500 rear fender. I also prefer that old school look with the more sleek tank like it has.

Nice work! This is the way, sake should have built-in for production. At least on this level and with today's CNC technology you could produce something even sweeter! I'm also a fan of the Cervice Hondas

Throw some better radiators on there to keep the engine cooler and it could gain even more power thats nuts

I know Keith personally and he is the most professional person that always gets everything absolutely perfect… he’s a straight machine… he built my 95 cr125 and we did a big bore 480 on my old 04 trx450r and a full port job on a 04 predator of a buddy and they’re straight up animals… they pulled from bottom end to top end effortlessly… he makes things work so good and rideable!!!!

Shame this got sold should of stayed in the museum! Seriously I doubt the Jeff Ward kx 500 still exists this may be the only one.Mud and sand is where this bike would be sick! Amazing that pro's rode this on small tracks even super cross imagine the throttle control Rail or Bail! Hope this bike found a good home and is not totaled somewhere lol

I have the last year KX500 1994 and wouldn't trade it for a brand new 450 plus it's off road legal anywhere from a real woods weapon to high speed desert runs I just change the countershaft sprocket and swap tanks and still starts first kick every time. I would like to get those awesome decals just like the Hulkster there on new plastic , you will be sorry if you sell it Sr.
