It's weird, I rarely ever remember my dreams. I can only ever remember them if I wake up prematurely at like 3-5 am in the middle of a REM cycle. That only happens to me once or twice a year. Even if I stay completely still in bed with my eyes closed when I wake up and try to remember, it's just completely blank. I've always wondered why that is the case for me.

The minecraft dreams section reminded me of a story my dad told me, he said he used to watch a show nonstop amd would watch it especially before bed, but after a while he started dreaming up episodes and even having commercial breaks for products that he made up in his dream/don't exist. It's pretty interesting to me

reminds me of concurring dreams I had when I was a kid. I played sooo much new super mario bros. on the DS that I started getting dreams where I would get physically stuck in impossible levels as if I was Mario. It was all in 2D and I saw it from the side (like in said Mario game) but it was me. I can literally draw the most common area I would get stuck in 10+ years later. crazy how I still remember it. Used to be kinda scary but not full on nightmare, more like anxiety. weird

That is INSANE. Ok next time my trick is to say, I VANISH YOU FROM MY EXISTENCE, I VANISH you from my house, I vanish you from the earth. Do not be scared, a lot of these entities thrive on fear. You have to be very careful with your words because they are taken very literal. So the word vanish, is just saying that they can no longer EXIST. Very specific, but extremely effective. I imagine you could also say disappear and achieve similar results. This works for any negative entities during sleep paralysis. If this ever happens again, fever or not, remember this.

Static dream. I remember my very first dreams somehow when I wasn't even 1 yet. Because I was basically with no life experience, dreams would be static like on old CRT tvs, but there was a second version. Think about the neon lights outside bars that have two lights to imitate animation. I remember then afterward getting older but still a toddler that dreams would become still images that would have two versions of themselves. My mom drinking tea. My Mom playing with me, but in two images. There was no sound. Then I remember my first ever legitimate dreams. Bunch of cartoon characters and random family members. One dream was so repetitive that I'd lose my breath and voice in a certain part and I'd constantly wake up sweating. At 7 years old, I officially was given something for sleeping. Ever since, my dreams have been normal, but night terrors reign free if I ever have to go through a withdrawal. I can't sleep on my own. I have so much energy in me that I can wake up fully aware and at full strength. I'd be your best friend if someone broke into the house.

there’s probably tons of comments abt this but i have chronic insomnia, which i’ve had for like over 8 years now (i will add that im just turning 18, so its been forever) and its honestly the worst. i’ll get tired throughout the day, to the point i’ll physically look exhausted, but i’ll go to sleep later or even take a nap at that moment and i just won’t be able to, even though i was extremely exhausted just moments before. i also wake up throughout the night, usually over 3 times at the very least, and sometimes it’s either paired with a nightmare (which i won’t be able to fall asleep for awhile afterwards) or just not being able to go back to sleep for no apparent reason. i’ve tried absolutely everything to fix it, even taking up to 5-6 melatonin at one point, and it will work for a single night to maybe a week before it stops working. i think the longest i’ve ever stayed awake (without naps, obviously) was around 3-4 days. there’s also a disease called fatal familial insomnia, which absolutely terrifies me lol the idea of progressively not being able to sleep until it kills you is awful, especially because there’s no cure and it’s just straight symptom care until you die. it’s usually in older people, with the youngest average being late 20s, but it’s a horrifying thing when you have such bad insomnia already, as the thought of “what if i wake up one day and never sleep again until i die” is smth id never wish on anyone. but tldr, yes insomnia sucks, but i’d take being able to sometimes sleep for only like 4-5 hours total, rather than never sleeping at all :) (i also did nawt watch the whole video yet so ffi is probably a part of the video and i haven’t seen it, it’s information regardless though)

I had a night terror when I was 14, and when my dad went to check up on me, the only thing I had according to him was "I farted", so I'm happy my night terror experience was funny because I still remember my dad telling me about it while laughing. I also had a false awakening if you can consider it as such, I pulled a character I was wanting on a game I liked. When I "woke up" I got on my computer instantly, which is what I do anyway. When I got the character, I woke up, realized it wasn't real, and cried. I have the character now. It's really funny now recalling it.

cool and interesting video... im watching it while staying up late working on schoolwork~! i have had unique sleep experiences from a very young age and due to that reason, dreams have always interested me. ive been diagnosed with ptsd and can attest to the disturbing and intense nature of ptsd-related nightmares - for me, theyre the only dreams i have that are first-person so theyre very striking in that way. over the years i have come to terms with my nightmares and they no longer upset me as much - i have accepted them as having their own uses as all things do, and this is just my personal experience of course. but in general it seems like third person dreams are pretty rare, although theyre my most common type of dream. for fans of inception, id highly recommend paprika by the late great satoshi kon. it inspired inception (many scenes are lifted directly from paprika!) and imo its a better movie. it perfectly captures the giddy inertia of being stuck in a dream imo. i also have to recommend the very famous and influential indie game yume nikki (the free 2007 version, not the recent remake) which is an amazing, trippy, nostalgic and melancholic exploration of the dreams of a young woman.

I haven’t had a nightmare in a while, but when I do, they hit SO HARD. the last one I remember was when I was in a car that wasn’t my own with my ex boyfriend, HOWEVER he had a firearm and slowly brought it up to his head and took himself out. It was horrible because it all happened in a cinematic way, I could see it all in slow motion but my hands were glued to the steering wheel and I was useless. The shot rang out and I had to pull over in a snowstorm? And once again, my nightmare only showed me his limp hand with the gun in it. I stared at this scene for a while before i guess I took off for the hospital, although I was of course too late. What I find weird about this dream is that it was basically a fulfillment of the threat my ex boyfriend gave me so often, which was that if I ever left him, he would end it all. This nightmare came about 5 months after I ended our 1 year relationship because he was unstable and actually scared me quite a bit. I think that this nightmare is the sick way of my brain reminding me that the relationship was over (DISCLAIMER HE IS ALIVE AND WELL FROM THE LAST I HEARD OF HIM). All of my other nightmares are my family dying or me being hunted down by someone (never usually a person I know). It was a very heavy nightmare and I just stayed awake the whole night when I woke up, I actually thought it happened in real life for about 10 minutes until I realized it was not. Whenever I told my family it all came rushing back and I almost cried just from the memory of it even if I didn’t see the act in full. Sorry about the horrible recounting but I thought the nightmare was interesting after a while of thinking about it, since it must have been a large underlying fear of mine even though it’s gone away the longer I stay away from the thoughts of my ex boyfriend.

[Sorry for the length but I wanted to be thorough] I knew I was gonna have to say something during the OBE part. So out of body experiences don’t actually look like you’re looking at your body. I mean the dream could show you that, but that’s not what an out of body experience is. An out of body experience is basically from what I can tell ( and most of us have a similar thing ) is that you feel a vibration all over, you hear a buzzing noise, and then you see a spiral which ends in some sort of hole, or eye. You see it in your third eye or front facing vision (I don’t know how to describe that) and you travel into the hole and you come out on the other side in a different reality(?). I guess it could be a dimension or a different world. You’re just somewhere else. It is just as real as real life. You can smell, feel, touch, and breathe, just like real life, but it is purely a dream. What defines this as different from a lucid dream for me, is the level of control I have in the dream and the fact I enter the dream by my own will. Not just like i appeared in the dream. I traveled INTO the dream by flying into the hole. Lucid dreams you just wake up in there already in the dream, or you can realize you are dreaming and start lucid dreaming, and while it may feel sort of real, the amount of realism is slightly less, and definitely the control is less. OBE feels more like real life, albeit with no physical constrictions, whereas lucid feels like a very vibrant dream. Hope that clarifies it for you and your viewers. I reached this level of control by meditating for 10-12 hours a day for about 3 months. When I stopped meditating, the dreams also stopped which makes me think there is a link between the two. My technique was that I would lay in a corpse pose with my hands to the sides before bed and get to the point where i was so relaxed i couldn’t feel my muscles anymore and then i would imagine myself rolling out or sitting up, then i would probably pass out. Somewhere around 6 am, I would wake back up and continue the meditation. And that’s when it would become very easy to get into this state. I believe anyone can reach this level of dreaming, you just have to put in the work to quiet your mind and keep it still. Once you start hearing that buzz you know you are really close to seeing the spiral. Just keep at it. Never think you wont reach it because thoughts in that dimension are taken extremely literal. So you cant think i “want” to go…you just have to go. If you think about it, you wont do it. It’s almost as if you have to detach from the chatter of the mind to achieve this state of being. It is extremely rewarding to reach it and explore that dimension and it cured me of a lot of my former anxiety and over thinking I had in the past. It is like brain exercise and when your brain can bench press 100lbs (you control the quiet) you reach that level. I also have to warn that it isn’t like rainbows and butterflies and there may be some dark entities there. I kind of stopped going because I was fighting these things almost every damn night. I felt like i was being thrown out of my body a few times by something, and it made it very difficult to wake up. Like if they were trying to steal my body. So be aware. I quickly learned how to defend myself against them and how to regain control of my waking, but it was exhausting. They also try and trick you by appearing like people you trust, so if you get there, please be careful. Not everyone experiences this. Or maybe not everyone talks about it? But i hear some people end up in really high dimensions where no darker entities reside and they don’t have this issue. Not sure why I did. It was cool at first until those fuckers came along. So it’s a gamble whether you will encounter them or not. Im very agnostic, but my life philosophy is definitely attuned with Christian ideals, not in any religious sense, but like don’t do to other what you wouldn’t like done to you and similar ideals, but I digress. The fact is, when I would go out of body, and I felt darker entities not allowing me to wake up, the ONE NAME I WOULD CALL OUT TO SAVE ME AND HELPED EVERY TIME, was Jesus. I would start chanting Jesus Christ over and over and somehow I would be able to get back into my body. So remember that name while you are out there. Angel Gabriel or Angel Micheal help too. Again, not in a religious sense, but if just like the dark entities, these are light entities, these are the helpers or your trusty guides. Ok I think that’s it for now. If you have had similar experiences or opposite, please comment. I would love to share notes. Im sort of a dream scientist or enthusiast. Sweet dreams! ☁️ 💤☁️

The experience of loud buzzing, feeling vibrations, seeing spirals/patterns and traveling through a tunnel is a common sensory experience that occurs on the way to lucid dreaming. It is well-documented though not everyone experiences this. A study has debunked the notion of out-of-body experiences: items were placed on a high ledge and subjects were asked to look over the ledge during their OBE and identify the items. None of the subjects were able to identify the items.

Hey there, sick video. Just wanna add on something. As someone who has had a few instances of exploding head syndrome, I want to explain my experiences. So ive had it 3 or 4 times throughout the last two years, and all times except 1 have been relatively harmless, how they have typically gone is being completely asleep to being instantly awake because I hear what sounds like a gunshot or other extremely loud noise basically inside my head. It has never made me think that im being attacked, or that im in danger, or that my head is literally exploding, just instant alertness. I have had one instance where because I woke up so quickly, I shot my neck upwards, and minorly pulled a muscle but no actual pain has come from the syndrome it, mainly just confusion and what happens afterwards. You can take what I say with a grain of salt because, like I said, only 3-4 times in two years, but I just wanted to add my POV. also goated brakence listener.

I once had a prophetic dream when i was about 10-11 years old, back in 2001, where I found the location and exact path to an item (dragon scale) in pokemon Gold. I had spent weeks looking for that damn item, and one night I kept telling myself to dream about its location. In my dream, I was inside of a cave that was dark, and had me going up a waterfall and a few different floors, till i got to the item. Sure enough, the next morning, I wake up, grab my gameboy and go to this cave. Reason i missed it was because the first time you go into this cave, theres some stairs that lead into lower sections of the cave, so i was sure i had already explored that place. I didnt even know there was a waterfall behind the stairs, its not visible, unless you swin around and behind said stairs. I was finally able to evolve my Seadra into a Kingdra! 😭

this is super random but on theme. I see nightmares only, its been like that for years and theyre very very real usually stuff that im scared of or even not. Usually its something with my family members dying, loud sounds, just anxiety. And i can remember them all so well, i also can feel things in the dream as i can recall a usual occurrance as in i jump high up into the air and i can feel the wind and the sort of fear as i fall down and dont even die. Sometimes i dont even want to sleep cause i know my dreams will be odd and sort of scary, ill always be thinking of them during the day.

There’s a *scary* ass phenomenon that happens specifically from morphine, and it’s derivatives like codeine, where patients report suddenly being jolted awake from what vividly feels and sounds like someone YELLS your name 2inches from your ear. I’ve experienced this and it’s bone rattling disorienting. like you can literally hear the scream still echoing in your mind as you recall certainly feeling the breathe on your ear. Mixed with the already eerie nightmare realm induced by all opoids. I find this so interesting. I always go back to the same distinctive realm while dreaming on opoids. Feels like I have to suffer pain in my dreams for relief of suffering pain in life.

It is the same feel as seeing something in the corner of the eye: sometimes youre fooled, sometimes youve just been fallen for it too many times. I also sleep talk, as I hold conversations with my mom and friends during sleepovers. Most of the time that is triggered by people talking while I sleep, and I try to respond but Im too deep of a sleeper. When I woke up by myself I talked in, what my best friend described as, latin, while I stood up and staring at her in my sleep, then laid as normal. Inappropiate stuff is also a part of the parasomia according to my man who has spent lots of nights with me. When she told me it sounded like in a movie scene ahaha

I have major depressive disorder (diagnosed in 2022), and by far the most annoying side effect is the chronic insomnia. I usually have to slam a ton of melatonin (20mg+ per night) just to get any sleep, which half the time isn't even restful. I often wake up so tired that I just fall right back asleep for another 2-4 hours. I also don't dream particularly often, only about 1-2 times a week. When I do sleep naturally, or when I wake up feeling well-rested and ready for the day, it's a miracle.

I used to sleep walk. Did it often as a kid, and i woke my parents up more than a few times trying to catch a small animal (usually a pet i was convinced had gotten out of their enclosure) in my sleep. Then it eventually stopped until high school, when i was going through a lot of stress. For about a week, i was waking up with bruises and would have no clue what happened. I brought it up to my mom, and she was surprised to hear that i had no memory of what happened. Apparently, almost every night, they would wake up hearing banging coming from my room; they would go see what was going on, and i would be walking around and slamming into walls, ir i was flipping out in my closet, or i was stuck upside-down behind the chair in the corner of the room. They would think that they woke me up as they got me out of wherever i was because i was able to have a coherent conversation with them as they led me back to my bed. I was not, in fact, awake at all.

The only thing about sleep I know is that I don't get enough of it. Hate being tired. Hatman is so goofy. Shadow people were enough but they had to make it silly. When it comes to Lucid dreaming, I never experience it for long, it tends to wake me up. Not like a nightmare or anything, it's just over and kicks me out.

One time while I was suffering from pretty frequent insomnia about a year ago. I had this one episode that lasted 5 days, 5 full days with no sleeping. It was very difficult for anyone to believe me and the frequent talk about how that could kill me just made me more uncomfortable. They would pull up facts and read off all the portions of the brain that shut down one by one but throughout the whole thing I was exhausted but more alert than ever. The funny part about this is on day 5 I had to get my passport photo taken for an overseas trip I was going on in a month's time, not my finest photo. Anyway on the final night I felt this severe wave of paranoia creep up on me unlike anything I had ever experienced, like something was constantly behind me and felt like it was going to bite out the back of my head. I was talking to my friends and they were playing into it a bit but I had to ask them to legitimately stop because it was getting much worse. Now I've suffered from Insomnia for close to 10 years but after this bout of 5 days it has never remained the same, most I've had since is 1 day but on that day I miss it the paranoia is there that night like it caused a permanent chemical change. In the 5 day sleep drought it truly felt like the world was happening around me and I was detached, since then though I have made a big effort to normalize my sleep to avoid that dreadful time happening again. If it were to occur once more under these new conditions I don't know if I'd last that long.

When I was a child, I would have night terrors every night. They were all insanely vivid, almost like I was actually there, and I would often wake up crying because of it. I remember one dream where I got out of bed but I couldn't walk, I could only crawl. I was crawling to the kitchen when I looked behind me and saw a tall, shadowy, cloaked figure staring at me. I tried crawling away when I turned around again and saw him coming closer. He reached out and grabbed my ankle and that's when I woke up. I could feel his hand around my ankle, it felt like someone actually touched me! Thankfully I am no longer plagued by nightmares. In fact monsters no longer chase me, because in my dreams I now chase after them! It's quite ironic.

Like staying up for four to five days straight without touching my bed once almost every single week for over a month. Lots of hallucinations, strange experiences, and even paranoid delusions if you go long enough. It's an extrodinarily bizarre experience. Luckily, I'm prescribed Ambien now, so if that ever happens I can cut it short with an almost garantuee of success.

In psychoanalysis, Shadow people refers to buried bits and pieces of who we are. They are created as the Ego is built upon defense mechanisms (which usually stem from personality traits that got either embraced or rejected in our childhoods). The 'unwanted' pieces end up in the Shadow realm, where their original forms eventually turns into twisted reflections of what they used to be, which is even more true if we actively try to avoid them in wake life over a long time (a common yet unhealthy behaviour). Traumas too will also get buried here until we face and embrace the lesson they represent. Face your darkness, and inner unity will lead to freedom.
