After checking out the Panoz website, you can indeed still order one of these, each one personally customised per customer :P and the quoted weight is around 900 kgs, which seems optimistic, but even a more conservative estimate of 950-1000 kgs is still very impressive from a 600 bhp street car with more downforce than your average track toy. Good stuff.

Every time I watch an old endurance race I go “damn that Panoz looks bada**”. I completely agree with you there man.

I was always in love with this car. I remember when I was a wee lad my first ever hot wheels was a Panoz GTR-1 back in 03

I hope we will get the Panoz Esprenta GTR-1 Race Car in GT:S soon....I love that sound

You really shocked me when you said that Panoz would still make you one to this day. It's absolutely insane! And I love it! An homologation special that you can actually buy, and that is not made in a limited number? Where else can you find a car like this? PS: Like a previous comment asked, is the spoiler an option?

I remember being at le mans as a 8 year old kid and the noise of this huge American v8 being so distinct over all the other engines used made me fall in love with it. That and it was unbeatable on gran turismo

love it and hate it. it looks like a batman villains car from the 90's batman franchise. riddler or something would drive this. on the other hand its so flat and wide, and has some really great curves. weighs 1980 lbs, and has 600+ hp. wish there were more videos of these.

Well it certainly has looks. I quite like the back, except for the light arrays, and the cockpit is nice. But the front is gonna be a no from me. It's very interesting because of the weird motor placement and certainly makes me think a lot. Still, while I don't like the front end, not a bit, I can still say that it's a great piece of design. I can see what they were going for and they nailed it. I understand why many people might like it. I respect it but personally I don't find it attractive. I think that speaks volumes of the design. It's a sign of really good piece of... well anything, like a band for example. "Rush is a great band, I just don't like their music" is something that can be really hard to explain on the internet.

The only way i could see that happening is high end replicas, like the Dauer 962 LM, and you'd have to get permission from all those corporations to bulid them, the only one i know that would be cool is Porsche, and a matter of fact some 917's are replicas from a company in Australia, they're so exact that Porsche use some of them.
