Green started playing better while sengun was still playing. What changed was they started passing more and playing at a higher pace after all star break. Most specifically their second suns game after all star break. Green was actually running the PnR really well with sengun before sengun got hurt. And yes green gets the ball more and he is better on ball. But that was coming more at the expense of FVV not playing such extreme minutes. Early on udoka wouldn't trust green. And only after FVV got hurt and udoka was forced to let green run things more. Things slowly start turning around again. After that second suns game after all star break they started getting into their groove. But then sengun and cam got hurt. And jalen just took on even more of the burden, and so far has been rising to the challenge. But they do need them both back. Cam is their second best true scoring threat behind jalen. And they do miss sengun's presence inside. He gives them another dimension on top of what they have found in his absence.

Right, the only way they are able to uptempo this stretch is the opponents suck scoring, leading to fastbreaks for them. Playoffs against tighter teams, it's a different ballgame and that is why small ball/uptempo never going to win championships. You need efficient half-court set weapons. And what is great about Rockets is they have both weapons -- if opponent scores, they go half-court set with The Alps; if opponent misses, they go full throttle with The Dunkstronaut.

In the Playoff, you’re right. The game slows down and you need a post-presence. But trust me, Landale style of play is more fitting than Sengun. He’s not the best option but between him, Sengun and Adam Landale is the only one who can shoot 3s naturally and has a better mid-range shot too. Sengun does too much. He hold the ball too much and don’t always pass to the open man on the 3 point which are high-priority shots that Sengun ignore for his post-play of 2 points. He holds us back.

So basically, Sengun is like the LeBron of the Rockets. Incredible players but slows down the game when they're teammates can clearly play faster with ball movement instead they're hogging the ball for a significant amount of time in the shot clock making the game slower and more predictable in generating offense. Don't get me wrong though... I think a slower game works especially in the playoffs when a lot of plays feels like a half court set.

If he can continue this GREENSANITY train to end of season, it's very exciting for Rockets fans next season because now, he have not 1 but 2 dynamic leaders of offense that gives 2 flavors. And both showed capability leading their own style and including other teammates (whereas before, Jalen is playing 1 on 1 only). Jalen Green is about to be a Dad and is looking to do whatever it takes to get paid handsomely 3. Jabari Smith playing Center has opened up the floor for Jalen Green 4. Jock Landale has had health issues in the first half of the season and is now become a solid contributor off the bench

I think that the main takeaway from Green having an explosive moment in the season and Sengun going down is that the Rockets can actively rely less on Sengun which would be better for the team overall. There have been tons of moments this season where they just ran play after play for Sengun which would force him to try to pull off a ridiculous basket. You're not going to get away with just forcing a PnR with Sengun nonstop in a playoff setting and he's going to get worn down in a playoff series playing like that. The team has multiple players erupting like Whitmore, Amen Thompson, and Jabari. This Rockets team could play extremely unselfish basketball but let the few future superstars take over when needed, similar to how the Warriors were able to make use of their fantastic ball movement when they were in their prime dynasty, just about anyone that touched that floor was a threat and that's what the Rockets are turning out to be now.

This is definitely a conundrum. I think if you want to run a offense through a big, that big has to be a caliber of Jokic, any less i don't think it would work. Take Sabonis, great player, but Sabonis isn't dramatically moving the needle for a championship. Swap him onto the Nuggets, i don't think they would be as good with Jokic, in my opinion. Yes, i am saying Sabonis and Segun are not that guy to build around. My analogy is this. You can have a perfect role player that hardly ever make mistakes but they'll never match up to a player that has that IT factor, that guy that can take over games, that can lead you to championships. But Segun is still young so he still has time to prove himself

The Rockets have picked up good momentum, and yes, they may owe it to their high-paced style of basketball, but there are some key points to focus on here. Firstly, can the Houston Rockets sustain this pace, or will they burn themselves out like fast-moving vehicles consuming fuel? In other words, is there a cost to maintaining this tempo? Secondly, most of the teams they've played against have been below average, except for one. Thirdly, the players have shown a high level of mental capacity in recent matches, but maintaining this is a matter of consistency. Now, this week, a match awaits us that will answer all of these questions. Will the Houston Rockets team be able to put up a commendable fight against the Oklahoma City Thunder? If they manage to do so, it would be reasonable for me to consider different outcomes."

Green was the guy from day 1, thats why he was drafted #2 overall to get every opportunity with our highest draft capital spent on him as the anchor to the new era of Rockets ball. Green has played the best over the last 3 years minus that 2 month stretch Sengun started this season with. It went downhill and Sengun underperformed since around december and we can not give up on Jalen as the main guy after just 2 months of strong play from Sengun. Now Jalen is showing that #2 draft pick superstar potential so you have to return to priority number 1 and that has been to develop Jalen to be that #1 franchise guy. The team plays much better defende without Sengun because we can switch everything but that doesnt mean Sengun doesnt have a strong role on this team but he must stretch his shooting to the 3 and not be a ball stopper anymore because our players suffer around Sengun when hes dominating the ball. Not hard to assess.

when sengun gets doubled or tripled, at least one of the players get enough space to hit a free 3 point shot but rockets haven't been consistent as they have been these few days. bro also i don't think ur talking about how to be a better team and play a better basketball. i think u just want green to step up as you want and carry you guys... i do not think it is about sengun playing bad or green being better than any player from the rockets and being the better player overall. i think you just want to see green succeed as being the best player in rockets. out of context but i'd like to say that silas era did not show the better player overall at all in my opinion. it just showed the highlights of an inconsistent, bad shot selecting team that are just tanking for the drafts in my opinion. so jalen was attempting every shot he wants along with sengun and the other teammates. these two years were wasted for these players. sengun is only showing his potential this year and for me 21 every night is nice for a 21 year old. even when he played "bad" he was consistent for his team and teammates and he just wanted to win as you know. he might be a bad defender because of his shoulders and his height for a center but he stood up against every shot and tried his best to do better and even he did a decent job most of the times. now let's think about it brother; what would you do if it was jalen green putting up all these stats with all these efficiency and what would you do if sengun was playing as inefficient as green does? i think you would treat him like he is temporary to you. wouldnt't mention about him at all... is it only because he is the fkin number 16th draft then? does that make him talentless? is it not about how he plays and how much he wants? then it would be better if you guys just trade him and get better players to build around green. i know that green has the potential and he has shown it recently these days so just trade sengun and stop disrespecting him all the time. it's nice to not give up on jalen. i think rockets should not let him go too but if rockets fans don't get sengun enough support i think they should let him go. how does he have a strong role if he keeps making the team worse in pace and tempo? these are the most important things in basketball bro... and i think you dont understand that these teams they played against without sengun was the worst teams except cavs and maybe bulls are only as good as them... is it really about the number onemguy for you you know that alperen does not make the most attempts if not needed and splits the ball right? he is not that selfish he is just consistent. and about the pacing sengun does a great job with pick and rolls and without him, when landale is in the game he does all the same thing nearly at his pace but somehow it is about sengun? it is about how consistent they have been against these teams bro (i hope they keep this up the next week). if they are that great without him then why didn't they play when sengun was not on the court before he was injured? if not about basketball is it about mentality? are they better without sengun as their best player mentally? i really can not relate to what you say on this comment.

Just because they won a few games against some of the weakest teams in the league, they suddenly began showing a pattern of turning against Şengün as if his injury is a blessing that caused a win streak, or they now voice claims like the team being better without him.. Like it was not the same players who were bricking tons of wide open looks Şengün provided them throughout the season.. No player should play for such backstabbing fans.. Şengün should go somewhere that will appreciate him.. So, I hope that thunder, mavs, minnesota, warriors, magic, and the heat will totally destroy the rockets.. It will be fun to watch Doncic, Edwards etc. torching them out of the play-in standings..

Trade Sengun. This is so easy. Green needs a spacing center

A three-level scorer who's in the 1% tile of athleticism in the NBA, Or an undersized big that can't play defense or space the floor. Sengun's potential ceiling is All-Star. Jalen's is face of the league not just the Rockets.

Except the defense was better with Sengun and was top 7 all season before he went down

@@vaudou_ that's not saying much cuz he's a horrible defender. He has way too many holes in his game to try to build a team around. The whole team is playing better without him it should tell you something

@@bigpain76 Except he's not a horrible defender just like Jalen isn't a horrible defender. Low effort people who don't watch the games say that. Sengun isn't a good drop defender because he doesn't have a massive wingspan. He's an excellent blitzing player at the level. He was that since he was a rookie. The Rockets played at the level against Sacramento and destroyed everything they wanted to do until Sengun had to take a rest. Watch the games. The Rockets are playing worse competition without him.

@@vaudou_He's horrible Gtfoh lol!!!! It don't make a difference the whole team is playing better without Alpi. They need to try to move him. The way they are playing is a visual protest against Alpi

@@bigpain76 So you're one of those trolls who doesn't actually watch Rockets games past highlights then. Got it. You don't get a top 7 defense all season and have one of the best defensive starting lineups in the league with Sengun being "horrible" on defense. Was Jalen making up that difference? No. Was Jabari? No. That's why the defense is worse with Sengun out against worse teams. The Rockets were playing basketball like this before Sengun went out. They just were playing playoff teams and not the Wizards, Blazers or Jazz without Lauri.

Off ne saçma tartışmalar.Rockets taraftarı Alpereni istemiyor çünkü jg ile kumar oynayıp amerikali oyuncu fanatizmi yapıyorlar. Alpi kesinlikle başka takıma gitmeli. Sanki takım ilk 5 de😂 Alperenin yeteneğini jg e tercih edip hayal kırıklığına devam edebilirsiniz . Alpi usagum yürü kim tutar seni😂
