This song reminds me of my grandpa Charlie who died 6 years ago when I was young. He built my moms childhood house in Kansas all by hand, thank you so much bringing back lots of good times and memories!

Other than David Ferguson and Matt Sweeney, I recognize Tim O’Brien on Banjo who is, as I understand, a prominent musician from the modern Appalachian folk music scene. If you jump into the rabbit-hole of his recordings as solo/band artist and guest artist, you cannot go wrong. For example “Sturgil Simpson - Cuttin’ Grass Volume 1&2”, where also David Ferguson is the producer. I also see they have a picture of John Hartford framed on their wall, another great rabbit-hole artist. For the soundtrack feeling, I recommend “O Brother, Where Art Thou? Soundtrack” and maybe even “The Straight Story soundtrack” by Angelo Badalamenti.
