The highest I've ever experienced was 44°C in Brazil - it was pretty hellish but because of the low humidity, it didn't feel as bad as the 40°C we had in the UK last year. The lowest was -18°C in Munich, which didn't actually feel too bad. Note to the UK - despite the sub zero temperatures & snow, the trains & planes were still running! 😜

Where did you get these 44° in Brazil? That's almost the national heat record.

Yeah imagine a city in a mountainous region which gets a sizeable amount of average snowfall per year being able to deal with the snow better than a country which (mostly) is fairly flat and often gets just the one heavy flurry a year in most places, shocking stuff.
CANADA WITH 49.6 C°??!! this place is over 50° North! In Germany where I'm from we reached just 41C° on a similar Latitude.

Hottest: 43c Ferrara, Italy. Coldest: -8c Ferrara, Italy. I think this says a lot about how little the UK's climate varies with the seasons especially near the coast. -5c is the coldest I've ever experienced living in the UK for most of my life (obviously it gets colder than that further in land in the UK).

I once experienced 49° in a place called Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory, Australia. According to the readout in my car’s dashboard, it was 55°! Anecdotally, it’s gotten well above the 50.7° record in Australia. Given it’s massive size and sparse population, getting scientific equipment to all the really hot parts would be a logistical nightmare and a job nobody would want!

I could imagine it was like that during the 2014 and the horrible heat wave we got. Victoria got up to 45°C most days during that summer
Hottest I’ve ever experienced was 50°C or 122°F in Palm Springs California. It’s crazy because the temperature often gets that high and it isn’t really that out of the ordinary. It was so dry because it’s in a desert but it felt just really really sunny. Coldest I’ve ever felt was -18°C or -1°F in my home town in New Jersey.
Highest temp I’ve ever experienced was 45 °C in Oregon two years ago, during the insane heatwave that roasted the Pacific Northwest. Lowest was -21°C in Colorado.
The temp in Death Valley was 134F (56.7C)
Lowest temperature I’ve experienced was -52°c and the highest was 42°c! Both in the same city in northern Alberta. Temperature variance of 90°c is just crazy lol
The highest I’ve ever had was 46C just outside Melbourne Australia and the lowest was an early morning temp of -4C in the same area
Hottest: 44°C at Doha airport (I'm pretty sure that's what they announced when we were landing). Was only a couple minites outside, so not much of an experience other than it being hot Coldest: probably below -20°C in Poland. Really unpleasant, especially if you need to wait for a bus.
Fun fact, Ukraine has its highest and lowest temperature set in the same place - Luhansk. Speaking of which, the highest and lowest temperature I've experienced are 35°C and -22°C. I've lived in two places--Indonesia and Japan, and both records were set in Japan

highest was 49.6°C in december 2018 in Joondalup australia (this was measured with a thermometer) it was absolute hell as it was in the middle of a 1.5 month period with no rain. the lowest temperature i was in was -3.4°C june 2021 in bassendean australia (also thermometer reading) which wasn't fun as i had to walk to school in it and it was very hard to see thanks to all the fog. the highest feels like i experience was on a day where it was actually 46°C but the feels like was 55°C in december 2021 due to the wind being scorching hot as it came from the desert. highest low temperature was 34.8°C in january 2022. i could not sleep at all Lowest high temperature was 7.5°C in july 2020 i was in a jacket all day Lowest feels like was -6.1°C in june 2021 i also stayed in a jacket that day

The highest temperature that I have ever experienced was 34°C last year just inside Wales and the lowest temperature was in the same place at -13°C in 2010

The highest temperature I've experienced was both in Corfu, Greece during the European heatwave of 2003 and in my home town here in the UK during the infamous heatwave of July 2022 at 37°C (98.6°F). The lowest temperature I've experienced was about -15°C (5.4°F) in my home town in December 2010.
The lowest temperature was around -20 C, in Belgrade, Serbia where I live. Wasn't that bad, I was bundled up and fine. The highest was I believe 48 in Death Valley, it was gruelling
48.8 degrees Celsius in Queensland Australia. We were putting up a tent for the first time with no idea that our new tent from ALDI was missing a pole, lol. Every few minutes, I had to jump into the car to put the air con on.
Highest i had 40°c, lowest i had -20°c both in Budapest. 40 was pretty alright. -20 was really enjoyable. I was already starting to feel that "as if i were on a different planet" feeling.
Coldest temp I've experienced was -15F with the wind chill. And I had to sleep outside that night. It was hell on earth
Hottest I've ever experienced was around 40°c in Germany & Luxembourg in 2017 I think, although for the most part it wasn't that bad actually because of the low humidity and staying in a very hilly area. Even though it was colder, because if the humidity the wost I've felt was in the UK a couple years ago when it was 32 degrees
Living in the Pacific Northwest (Vancouver) the temps are usually not too bad but we still get heat waves and cold waves the hottest ive ever experienced was 43 degrees Celsius and coldest ive ever experienced was minus 22 degrees Celsius
The hottest I've experienced was 41 degrees in Greece closely followed by 38 degrees in Spain and 37 in Poland, coldest was -15 degrees in Poland and -8 in ireland

Hottest temperature I've experienced was in Flagstaff, AZ when I was getting on a bus for an out of state camping trip. It was 120F / 48.9 C. Coldest temperature I've experienced was -30F / -34.4C when I was living in Alaska.

The highest recorded air temperature in Grande Prairie, AB, Canada was 41.5°C on June 29, 2021 and the lowest was -52.2°C on January 2, 1950.
Highest was +41 C in the outskirts of Stavropol, Russia Lowest was -31 C with a roughly 10 m/s wind in St.Petersburg, also in Russia
January 1981 in Toronto minus 30 C but with the wind chill it was minus 45 C when I was a construction worker. I thought my teeth were going to shatter when I took a sip of hot coffee. I put my coffee down and clenched my mitten over my mouth for ten seconds. In those ten seconds my coffee became a slushee and while I turned to show it to a coworker, it froze solid. Hot coffee in a styrofoam cup (1980s) and it froze solid in under 20 seconds. The best part? We were installing windows at a train station that was going to be torn down because they got taller trains, but we had a contract to install windows, so we had to install windows. No wait, it gets better! A testing company checked every window and made us re-install several. You see, they had a contract to test the windows. And it was a rush job because demolition was to start in a few weeks.... and we had to finish... the building...in time for... demolition... It still boggles my mind. Yes, it was a government job. EDIT: Oh yeah, the windows were along the boarding area, it was exterior on both sides of the windows so a) it never got warmer when a window was installed, and b) why on Earth did these windows need to be tested? Fun? Try carrying a piece of glass on a frozen boarding deck while an express train blows by.
In Yorkshire the coldest I have experienced -20°C 1981 and the hot is 42°C 2022
5:03 If you check the map of the Maldives you can see where that Lowest Highest temperature was recorded, at the Nottoohot Atoll. 😃 EDIT: What's your favourite Atoll? Mine is the Nobikini Atoll.
I wouldn't be surprised if it hit 131F in Death Valley. Here in Phoenix (a couple hour drive from death valley) it hit a record 120F
My highest was 40 near Sacramento in California, lowest in Kimberley Canada while skiing, minus 30
Hottest for me was 48C at Central Coast NSW. Lowest was -20C in Vienna. Take your hands out of your gloves and they start burning after 15 seconds.
Hottest : 111 Fahrenheit(44 Celsius) Coldest : 19 Fahrenheit (-7 Celsius)
People are much more likely to visit very hot places in the summer than to visit very cold places in the winter
What about the lowest "feels like" temperature ever?
my highest was probably around 41 C here in bangkok (feels like 46 i guess...), while my coldest was -29 C in saint petersburg with HUGE humidity... so we had to "celebrate" happy new year at home, coz it was impossible to put a finger out of the apartment.....
So it was hotter over 110 years ago. That must be global warming.
I think many record temperatures are not regarded as accurate because of measurement quality issues. The Death Valley high in the USA (57.6C) was over a century ago, and basically all temperature measurements before the 1940s are considered suspect. At the same time, it really might have been accurate, and a theory proposed to salvage the record is that the reading was due to an isolated hot spot event. But there’s a lot of issue here too, as if we admit such events, there have been plenty far, far hotter in Iran and the region, with modern recorded isolated hotspots as high as about 70C
I've experienced 45°C in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and 8°C in Rajasthan, India
Hottest: 43.3c San Antonio Texas with high humidity so felt like 45 Coldest: -14.4c Guadalupe Mountains Texas (expedition last winter went poorly and got lost in a remote valley in between two mountains so the cold sank down to us as we tried to sleep with little protection, it was probably colder where we were but -14 was reported at the summit of a nearby mountain either way absolutely miserable and almost died) -23c Sangre De Cristo Mountains New Mexico (only for short time pretty nice was nice and dry)

@@MikeTheGamerX I am not here for competition 😅 but Chandigarh is also at 350 metre above sea level. Chandigarh is also not on the mountains. It's a subtropical region. Mountains start after Chandigarh. It's just that the Himalayas gain height very fast within an hour you will gain 1500 meters elevation. Melbourne and Chandigarh both work in different types of climate. Chandigarh is cold due to the Himalayas in winter and hot due to being a landlocked region which traps heat during summers. Melbourne is cold in winter due to latitude variation being more far south closer to sub-polar region. I don't know why it's so hot during summers may be due to being closer to the desert.

I'm from the Midwest but I live in the South of the USA 🇺🇸. American weather in the lower 48 is really weird, one day it's hot & the other day it feels cold. Prospect Creek, Alaska is where our coldest temperature is but Canada 🇨🇦 has the lowest recorded temperature on the North American continent. Well Canada 🇨🇦 extends way more north than the USA 🇺🇸. Nunavut a Canadian Territory & not a Province the Northern most in Canada 🇨🇦 does not hold that record, surprisingly it's Yukon another Canadian Territory which borders Alaska. Snag, Yukon holds that record. Ohio where I'm from is way more different than the Arctic Circle. Ohio borders Lake Erie part of the Great Lakes region which Ontario a Canadian province borders. To answer your question I actually don't know.
