I really wanted the witches to win both times!

I was actually just thinking about Cobweb being John Pritchett yesterday. There was definitely a human spirit inside the cat. It felt like he was actively watching the events of the movie unfold. And maybe The Mother Witch follows Becca, Izzy and Cassie in hopes to mentor them before all chaos breaks loose. I still believe the “Alison is a secret Witch” theory from the first one; that leads me to believe that…maybe Becca is related to Alison in some way, and that’s how her powers were passed down. Which would also explain the odd sense of familiarity Winnie had with Becca. Or…this might be a bit of a stretch, but Becca could even be related to The Witch Mother.

Allison could also be a descendant of Mother Witch, like an aunt or something, since we don't know about Mother Witch's sisters/family. Becca could also be related to the Sanderson sisters or Mother Witch since she is in fact a witch. I would really like to see a sequel and/or prequel. I feel it would add to what the second one was lacking. *cough*the original cast*cough*

I think it would be amazing if they do a prequel with the young actresses but also showing the new trio in the present with the old trio of max, Dani and allison (and of course with her as a witch) against the Mother witch. I would love that the sanderson sisters come back but as cameos for the final fight only 'cause they actually had a good ending but I think that the mayority of fans would Miss them for the finale 😅

Maybe Winnie cut out his tongue (for calling her ugly) before turning him into a cat. In the original, it said the book was given to Winnie by the devil himself. Could mother witch be Satan in disguise?

I did initially think Mother Witch could be the devil. But I believe Mother Witch was just a witch from another coven, who had unknowingly cast the Magicae Maxima spell and lost her coven due to it, which is why she’s so against it and why her eyes glow like Winnie’s did when she cast the spell. But I don’t think she’s the Devil. That line in the original was Max reading off of the plaque when the house was a museum. The witch hunters and townspeople of Salem had probably passed down stories of the witches and how the Devil gave them that book of dark magic. It wouldn’t necessarily be possible for anyone to know that Winnie was given the book by the Devil, unless she spoke of it to them (which I doubt lol) or they were there (which I also doubt). I took that plaque and it’s information with a pinch of salt and even if intentional, easily retconned due to the above. It could also be possible that the Devil passed the book down to a potential witch, who then continued to pass the book down when they sense great potential for the dark arts. Just a theory though obviously lol

@@darkphoenx3930 I love your theory about the book being handed down through multiple generations of witches, but the people writing the plaque in the museum got it wrong.

I think it would be good to see the Sanderson sisters return for a 3rd Movie but instead of being the big Evil, the three girls have to bring the Sanderson Sisters back to help defeat the mother witch. The Sanderson Sisters now finally at rest have no reason to want to kill children to be young, beautiful and live forever, so it would be nice to see them do good now they have a connection with the teens 🤔🤔🤔

I think that Allison is actually Becca’s mother because a lot of people thought Allison was a witch, and the fact that Becca is also a witch would be proof

Read the actual sequel Disney publishing wrote and put out a few years ago! It’s way better than this movie both in plot and tying up lose ends! They butchered the sequel with the movie when they had already written a PERFECT SEQUEL

@@babyjg3759 if you read the sequel novel put out by Disney a few years ago it clearly tells you that max and Allison get married and the main girl is their daughter! Also the house is still in Allison’s family and her daughter steals the key to impress her lesbian crush and because the new girl is actually a descendant of a 4th sanderson witch she accidentally helps exchange max Allison and Dani to hell for the sisters. The whole plot revolves around them trying to get the family back from hell before it’s permanent! Also jay is the principal at the same high school he went which the new generation now goes to and jays daughter is a bully, imagine that! Lmao

In the original movie, Allison reads that the book was given to her by the Devil himself. Was the Mother Witch the Devil? Did they just forget about that line in the original movie? Could have it just have been a false story? I still really liked the movie.

It was only legend not fact! Anything said in Salem 1993 in the original was only legend which legends are not always fact to begin with!

Allison could be a witch that's probably why she is obsessed with the Sanderson sisters and witches in the first clip after the sisters were hanged and the teacher was talking about it it proves me right

In the first movie, Allison states that her mother used to work at Sanderson house museum, so she probably learned a great deal from her mother, just by being around her and possibly spending time in the museum on a regular basies. That being said, I do like the theory of Allison being a witch but not directly related to the Sanderson sisters.

I think Allison is possibly a descendant of the Sanderson Sisters. But not Winnie. Billy said they just had a kiss. But I don't remember him saying the same about Sarah. So it could be a plot twist to think it's Winnie before it's revealed to be Sarah.

Did you notice the 3 young girls have same necklaces which represents a symbol on Winifred’s dress. The main buckle

i live near Salem & visited Allisons house over the summer. Although it would’ve been a nice touch, Allisons house & Cassies are not the same. Also, Allisons house (at least the exterior, seeing as the interior was a set) is a historical site so i don’t believe they would remodel the home

My question is that when the sisters disappeared, if all the spells were released (Billy, etc.) How was Cobweb not effected?

I think the second theory. It's not really a theory but Canon to the story. This way the story has come full circle in the end of the film

There is no reason BOTH theories about the witch mother can't be true maybe Some of her coven were taken by hunters and out of desperation the rest cast macica maxima and that took the rest of them it also could be fun if the sandersinsisters spirits talk to the girls in the sequel

4:09 so if this person says that the black cat cobwebs would possibly be John, then why is he still alive. The movie stated that the magic that the Sanderson sisters did on people would be broken. And as you can see at the end of the movie billy disappears because the sisters had put a spell on him, So if it was John he would have been turned into the glowing dust stuff. This is my opinion on it, my opinion might not be right so you guys can decide! Fingers Crossed for another Hocus Pocus Movie 🤞!!!

Maybe the witch mother turned John into the cat as a way to show the young Sanderson sisters how it's done and that's why he's still around?

When Billy‘s head is cut off you can see that the stitches where Winnie sowed his mouth shut is spells kill

It's also possible that Cobweb is another person that Gilbert turned into a cat. Since it seems like it took cat-Binx a while to learn how to talk as a cat. Maybe Cobweb hasn't found its voice yet. Also, as a magic shop owner, it's possible that Gilbert was able to obtain "fat from a hanged man" from fellow occultists with real magical ingredients. It is also a primary ingredient for things like a "hand of glory" from what I recall.

Theres a little theory. In the past, when Mother Witch gives Book to the young Sanderson Sisters, she said Salem was ruled by fools and we will rule Salem. The theory says that the plan of Mother Witch was to give the book and wait till the daughter of the mayor was friend of the new trio.

It would be so cool if Kenny Ortega directed the third film since he did the first one and he was awesome at all the descendents movies.

Don't forget to add the spells they show for people to read they flash them but if you pause it you can see what type of book it is and how to perform the spells. And it makes since about the witch loosing her coven her eyes glow as did 2innies did before she lost hers. I liked part 2 tho I thought I wouldn't as much. The cat may been the other one she chose to be with but he asked why and she said because we kissed at the cemetery.

I like the idea of a 3rd film with mother witch as the villian. THE sisters could still cameo in spirit form or something without being brought back fully. Maybe to advise the new witches into he forum of a spell?

My issue with Cobweb being human is that he should have been freed in the first movie like Thackeray was. If he was freed when the witches disappeared, why wasn't Cobweb?

It was Winnie's 16 birthday when she became a witch and now it was beca's birthday when she became a kind of witch

I think we will find out that Becca got her powers from her great great grandmother Tituba the real OG witch in Salem. It’s rumored that she had one daughter named Violet btw in the late 1600’s 😉. Just a thought 🤔

At the end of No.2 we are shown cobweb going to the 2nd black flame candle. What I would like to see is the return of the younger Sanderson sisters being brought back to help fight the mother witch with the elder versions being left to rest.

I have yet to see this movie. Hopefully, the third movie will make some references to the first and second movies. My friend loves the first Hocus Pocus movie and is an avid Halloween fan! I hope that you will all enjoy Hocus Pocus 2!

I truly do sing that Allison is a secret witch based on how she smiles. There is a Difference between a natural gentle smile in a full out grin like the cat from Alice in wonderland. Allison had a full-out grin and keeping out her facial features in a wicked way. This is my analysis of Allison being a secret witch. So given my analysis of Allison to be a secret witch I have reached my verdict. And that the verdict is that Allison is in fact Now you said fact and in solid fact that Allison is a secret witch.

Binx was a cat for 300 years, maybe he had kittens and Cobweb is a descendant of his. This line of cats might be responsible for protecting Salem against witches.

Maybe the reason Cobweb doesn't speak is because he was turned into a cat by young, inexperienced witches unlike Binx who was turned into a cat 🐈‍⬛by the mature Sanderson sisters. Then again maybe he can speak but doesn't want anyone to know.

@@caseyisgreat that was unrelated. Sarah was sad about that during the scene where Becca and Izzy tricked the Trio into believing about the souls already being mixed in with the lotions/potions that you can buy. Had nothing to do with commencing the Magicae Maxima spell.

Winnie when they were kids the lady with the white hair that could be the same person

One thing I find funny, everyone goes "Well Anyone being related to Winifred is debunked because she wasn't with Billy." Um. Remember that Sarah was with Billy, She's Winifreds literal sister, and both her and Billy admitted to being in a relationship.

for the third movie, they could take from the second novel and introduce the fourth Sanderson sister.

I hope they don’t do any more sequels. This was such a fantastic wrap-up. The young actors who played the young sisters did such a fantastic job that they certainly deserve a sequel. But I feel Hocus Pocus 2 was so good, I don’t want to spoil the legacy.

I have a therory about coweb the black cat in the first one we saw bigs control a black cat that looks like coweb and in this one the zombie came back to life after the black candle was lit probably bigs too as coweb

It looks like in the big explosion happens when all the sisters made it looks like the thing from Frozen when the force field gets around the forest

How they ended it with the #2 black flames candle there has to be a third coming out

I dont think Cobweb is John Prichett. When the witches died in the first film at daybreak, Thackery died, because the spell was broken and he was released from being an immortal cat. John Prichett would have enjoyed the same release at their demise too.
