The story is covered in a book called flames in the field,Vera wasn’t the only one that was betrayed and executed there were 5 ladies in total from the same cell,there were no witnesses alive that could actually say that they were burned alive but the opinion is that they were heavily drugged at the time.

Very informative. However, what if anything happened to the people involved in these horrid murders? There was a book written on how the allies responded to the execution of the 50 escapees involved in the great escape. Yet, I am not aware of how the allies responded to this war crime.

I’ve heard this story before on another channel, shocking 😕😕 There is another story of an uprising in one of these camps and they lynched one of the commandants(who wasn’t German but sold out to them and was particularly brutal to the prisoners)and threw him in the oven alive, which was brilliant.

WW2 Was,brutal. So many lives were taken pointlessly. All we now can do it prevent that this travesty from ever occuring again.

We never shall. Once tit for tat escalates only very disciplined soldiers take prisoners. Men groomed for war become used to killing. Suicides amongst combatants is highly censored. A man who has saw combat is never the same, this is just being understood, or admitted.

God bless the brave members of SOE...for they are heroes and were a shining light in a dark world.

Can you imagine the generation now being able to go through this?

Well you have a tiny point - but also: The British government on all levels and the British media - is there ANY reason for British youth to feel supported? They are hated by their "own". The BBC omits any British history and replaces it with multiculturalism. The London mayor isn't British and shows it every chance he gets The British PM isn't British and it shows. The Bristish social services, police, newspapers and media at large knew about the paki pedo-rings YEARS before, but did nothing - it was only "useless" girls - i.e. blond children. So I for one, do not blame the youth today for seemingly being in a slump at the moment - they are hated by their own.

You forget that 11 million people were killed by Germans not just Jews! POLITICAL PRISONERS, ANY DECENTERS, ROMAINE PERSONS, PRISONERS OF WAR, SPYS and SABOTEURS . The Germans killed 5 MILLION NON JEWISH PERSONS AS WELL--WHICH MAKES THE RATIO ALMOST EQUAL. THE RATIO IS 6:5 NOT MUCH DIFFERENCE. I am not exactly sure if the EINSTATGROUPEN (?) VICTIMS WERE COUNTED IN THE 6 MILLION JEWS KILLED OR NOT. (These were the victims killed in the then USSR by lining them up on the side of humongous pits, shot, fell or were tossed into the pit where each layer was covered in lime to help with decomposition and with the hope that the bodies would never be identified or found until the pits were full and covered with dirt at which point--new pits were dug and the killings continued.) We do the other 5million a huge disservice every time we forget to mention or remember them.

The Nazis burned people alive and the RAF and the US-Airforce knowingly bombareded cities crowded with civilians, refugees and scattered Wehrmacht units of no strategic worth with incindiary rounds causing them to burn alive. The Allies weren't any better than the Nazis.

The World War 2 generation is called The Greatest Generation for a reason. It is the generation that suffered the most and sacrificed so much. An estimated 60 to 85 Million people died or were killed in relation to the events of World War 2. These people who suffered the most or who sacrificed so much - we will NEVER hear about. There were also people who were NOT Nazis but were complicit with the subhuman crimes of the Nazis - banks and bankers, the railroad industry, the contractor(s) that built the labor & death camps, and crematoriums. These obscure parties and entities had to coordinate with the Nazis and they got paid for their work. These people were NEVER prosecuted.
