When my class and I graduated from elementary school eight years ago here in germany, we danced on the schoolyard to that song with cute skirts and flower chains to a Choreography from my teacher. I still know how to dance to that and this song puts me in a time machine every time i hear it. Will never forget

As a child growing up in the early 80s, Waikiki was one of the best hits that liked listening when played in an SW radio or a cassette player. .

I was really sad to see so many negative comments about a WHITE music group singing a polnesian song and the hatred towards them as a music band and also as people. I grew up with this song and loved it👊 and yes i am polynesian and i am proud of my english heritage aswell😌
