3:45 “Would anybody claim this horizon is formed by earth curve?” Yes. This particular one is formed by the curve of the hill the tracks are going over.

3:00--I am calling this moment the "compression" and "foreshortening" of the distant vanishing point which it doesn't seem globeflakes take into consideration. Before you comment on my post, all you GSWs, I have numerous episodes on my playlists where this is discussed. I also show, in my own footage with my own drone, the h rising with the drone's eye.

0:45 “I’m making a series on how the horizon works in reality or on flat earth” Nice admission that flat earth isn’t reality.

Well done on being less specific than Flatzoid about what “relative to eye level” means. The horizon will always be somewhere relative to your eye level. The question is how that relative gap changes with altitude. And the answer is that it will appear lower relative to eye level as you increase altitude. Exactly as expected on a globe.

"Exactly as expected on a globe" Nonsense. The horizon does not do that. He even showed you an example. Felix Baumgartner. The horizon is the same at 10 ft as 128000 ft. Here's anther example Mr Beast "space" trip. There's fisheye nonsense is exactly the same at altitude (93 miles) as it is on the ground.

@@indio007So what is your explanation for all those photos with the horizon *measured* to be lower _relative to eye level_ at elevation than at sea level? The Baumgartner and Beast photos don’t have measurements.

@@andrewjohnston6631 the horizon is not a physical geometric location. Only globers claim it is. You don't need exact measurements for those observations because the dip should be 8 degrees and 12 degrees respectively. Which is EASILLY visually discernable when compared to images taken from the identical camera showing identical horizon placement.

Why is there no formula to show the horizon distance on a flat earth?

I spent about 5 weeks in the comments of a Brian’s Logic video trying to get SiMan/Kiwibuzz to give the flat earth derivation for dip correction - which of course is based on horizon distance. Between all the insults and dodging, the best he could come up with is that it’s something to do with two or three parallel planes or parallel lines. I’ve had the same discussion with TB. He was certain that you reduce the sighted *angle* by the observer’s *height*
