Tierney was a powder keg. On and off screen. Most of these bad guy roles came naturally to him, had been arrested several times. He had met his match in Claire Trevor in 1947's Born To Kill😮

Great to find another Lawrence Tierney movie! He was meant to play a bad guy. I guess he had it in his blood according to Wikipedia.

As the write up wrote he was a sociopath petty criminal. Doubt much, even his father would have made a difference.

Only gas station I’ve ever seen across from a bank, and I remember 16.9 cent gas. (Tucson, 1967) Zoning probably, but real estate costs might factor in too.) excellent movie generally.

Censorship. Picky on dialogue in those days. Also, seldom saw a maternity dress (wish they’d bring those back).

@@petegregory517 I wore those preggy dresses, they were easy to make. I don't have photos like my nieces have. Don't think I would have even if I could. As Mum told me "you are pregnant, not sick 🤢". Took up squash at 6 months & ended up ten months pregnant not nine. I have super sensitive skin & I was glowing, hair looked better than normal.
