Hi Joe. Is that Prince's Bay? Beautiful fishing pier in the background! Gosh I miss New York! Filming outdoors is the best! I love everything about this Modern Katana set. I like the small details of the cat menukis and how their designs are of different species depending on the size of the blade. Everything about this design just works. The G10 grip with an hourglass silhouette just has a simple elegance and works really well with the hira-zukuri blades. That copper habaki is a great choice, too. I like how they call it the Modern Katana Set but still keeps a number of traditional elements like the differential hardening so it's not just those tacticool toys. I worried a bit about the DH blades with the thinner and lighter hira zukuri cross section, but the blades seem to be durable enough. These blades would fit perfectly into Cyberpunk 2077 universe. Great review and fantastic video as always!

Kane, I can't believe you recognized it, yes indeed it is, I recently moved into Staten Island and I am exploring new outdoor spots to shoot were I won't get in too much trouble....I agree with everything you said on the Modern set, they are more durable than how they look and feel, edge alignment is key with these and they will cut well...its a great job by DK with this line and no wonder this line is so popular....thanks so much my brother

I really like that tanto. Would've like to seen it at closer to a $100 price point, given that it doesn't have a wrapped tsukamaki. Also, not sure why they went with green paracord instead of black. All black and tactical would've been cooler, but thats an easy fix I guess.

Then maybe this sword is not for you friend, many other options for that out there...but it did handle itself well on hard wood vines, Tatami and bamboo..so it's not shaby
