It may be 9 years later, but I've on just found these diaries, and I've very much enjoyed them. You really get a sense of the hard work and complexity of putting a film of this scale together. But it's obvious the cast and crew love what they do. It's hard to watch from afar without getting emotional, but can't imagine the level of emotions of the people there experiencing the end. Can't help feeling like I chose the wrong profession. But thanks for sharing.

peter, i dont think you would see this. i cannot fully emphasise just how much your lotr films have influenced my childhood. when i watch them I cry not out of sadness, but just out of sheer appreciation for the film. the score, the acting, the dialogue, the cinematography, and just the general vibe of the trilogy is perfect. and proves to dont need a massive budget to achieve perfection on such an epic scale. So thankyou, for influencing and shaping my love of film today.

I am so so so glad peter was so kind to include us too. I've cried, I've laughed but most importantly it made me watch EVERYTHING again just to feel the magic happen once again.
watching these production diaries actually makes the movies even better! totally gonna watch the trilogy today

And there it is, the Lee Pace coment. Jk i totally agree
10:33 Around here and then when they just show everyone messing around, it's perfect.
I have never been so excited about a movie in my entire life. Words cant explain. I've seen each of the LOTR probably thousands of times, my excitement for this film is unbelievable.
Last vlog, till post production. Omg! It's been amazing to watch this from the start, I love seeing the fun and joy of a NZ film crew, and seeing the kiwi humor. Such a good vlog to follow :) Can't wait for it to come out! :D
Lee Pace will be brilliant, his work in 'The Fall' was amazing
At the end, it dawned on me all over again that this all began with a single English professor writing an obscure note on the back of a blank exam paper.
There family… and I love that feeling… after so many days of filming, the set and the people and the film become your life and when it’s all over… you miss everyone.
This inconspicuous man in checked shirt is truly Lord of the...of the everything & everyone :) God, taking part in the film like 'Hobbit' or LOTR must be the adventure of life.

Thank you all so much for sharing these videos with us. They're brilliant, and I can't wait to see what y'all have done!
Watching these videos really makes me realize how much work and effort was put forth behind the scenes. When I see The Hobbit in theaters, I think I'll have a much greater appreciation of the sets, filming, costuming, etc. thanks to the Production Diaries. And I won't skip through movie credits ever again. Thank you to all the crew for sharing these with us!
these blogs make me smile so much :))))
6:32 haha Martin is HILARIOUS
The artists behind the first drafts of scenes have incredible minds. Such creativity and beauty... I am astonished. Without them Hobit would have not been what it is.
The production is all time best I ever seen # 100% great job
wunderbar^^
The sets wow!!!!!!!
I always choke up on these videos. God damn hobbitton theme song twists my heart. Everytime one of these is released, there at least a couple million people jealous as HELL they aren't working on Peter's crew.
Im stoked Peter Jackson is such a down to earth guy.. its really inspiring for us as filmmakers
4:47 - 4:59 Sylvester LOL !!!!!!!!!!
I love these vlogs :D
There you go, you guys made me shed tears again! This is so clearly such an incredible human experience, cast or crew alike. I wish I could find one of that scale, with such passion, camaradery, skill, talent, respect... I'll start looking again. Feels to me like the 3 last years, since 1st lockdown and losing close ones, have passed in a complete blur. It felt very good to stumble upon this vlog and feel the energy of that journey, of those passionate people.
I love them!! It seems like the most incredible cast of ALL time!! They are all so humble and seems like genuinely good people...

Imagine if Peter Jackson walked on stage filming with the phone in portrait mode.
Andy Serkis plays the saxophone? Another reason to love him.
I am so psyched for The Hobbit, Peter Jackson and his crew always put so much care and effort into realizing Tolkien's stories, it is gonna totally rock!!!

Radagast was definitely great, although the bird poop on his face the entire time throughout the movies was kind of distracting lol
Omg these videos are so touching! I loved how they made long LOTR documentary clips featuring every corner of the studio and every crew that contributed to the awesome movie. And I'm glad they're doing the same thing with the Hobbits. They look so happy, cooperative, and grateful.
That panel was the most fun i've had in all my years of Comic Con. The camp out was sooooo well worth it!!! Can't wait until December!!! ❤❤❤
13:13 Guess who is the scale double for Gandalf? XD
Hahaha :D 9.30 min: Wunderbar! 😂 So cool wie er das sagt 😂💙 so sweet how he say it! ;P
cheers peter, your the greatest producer/director, thankyou for all the great movies you made, and thankyou for being so kind and generous to your fans, we all truely love you for all youve done.
Thank you Peter, love you so much for sharing this experience, allow us to look into some part of the works & lives behind The Hobbit. Been watching since the first video, now i keep thinking how luck we are cause we have a chance to be part of all these as an audience. Thank you so much.

Another year , another The Hobbit production Diary.LOVE IT
Towards the end of the video I had tears in my eyes... it's just so amazing and moving, such great, talented and enthusiastic people. Love you!
Sylvester is cute, isn't he? 😁
10:54-10:57 and 11:02-11:07 lol
01:14 look at Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf) 's face. how proud it is to be an actor of a HUGE movie like this, and after the green screen recording, he looks really amazed
Peter Jackson is an absolute legend, one of the only directors I can comfortably say has turned a book(s) into a film without in any way, shape or form changing the mental image I formed from reading it.

These video blogs (along with the LOTR movies of course) has been one the most amazing things I have ever seen! The sheer magnitude of the production and all the things and people that has gone into it. It's like the worlds biggest and best piece of art that has ever been created. completely MINDBLOWN! If the movie's are half as good as what I have seen here, then I will be the most amazing movie I will probably see in my lifetime! Thank you so much to Peter and the entire crew for making this!
Which kind of haters can dislike these kind of videos on KZread? Who are these people and how can you live with yourself... These videos are literally the best thing i found out in 2021.
nerdgasim
Thank you for making these Peter. God bless.
I admire listening to all the cast and crew who say "something Comic-Con".
Happy tears are flowing freely. Also, they blurred out Radagast? o.O
It must have been a wonderful feeling to be able to say we’ve done it. But also very sad to say goodbye to each other after such a long time together. Fabulous cast and incredible crews in all divisions, they really did all have your back Peter and I know why. Your vision, direction and tireless long hours to bring it all together truely shows your amazing accomplishments at your craft. Well done
This brings me to tears of excitement and awe. Such true enthusiasm from the creators, actors, and fans!
Thank you Peter Jackson and to everyone that made it possible to see this beautiful trilogies ..The Hobbit and LOTR❤️❤️⭐️ They will always be my favourite movies
wow thank you Peter, im gonna rewatch all of these right before i go and see The Hobbit....CAN'T WAIT
I am so freaking excited. No words. I hope he makes watching the story come to life as magical as it was to read it and let your imagination run wild.
Delighted to see so much REAL sets!
no matter how the movie comes out (which will be amazing obviously) it was all worth it for these monumentally awesome and moving blogs. Thanks for sharing Peter Jackson and Hobbit cast and crew!!
Thanks for letting us follow you on the journey of making these films. I'm ready for another epic adventure signed Mr. Jackson.
Just leaves me wanting for more! Damn you, crew! Oh... And just can't wait for the DVD release with the full behind-the-scenes section.
i've grown up with this film series, and I've watched it far too many times to count !! I've never since had a film which makes me feel the way these films do...
I am already tearing up! I totally look forward to these 3 movies!!
Our family all wishes we could have been there!! What a wonderful movie that crosses like a sine-wave with the books, same with LOTR's! Well done Peter!! Well done!
My God lee pace is perfection 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
