Der Imperator: Robin didn’t kill himself because he was depressed; he was diagnosed as having Dementia with Lewy Bodies, which meant his brain was going to turn to mush and he wouldn’t be himself, plus he’d be unable to care for himself. His family gave him permission because they understood how mentally and emotionally debilitating it would be for him; but of course, they couldn’t actually help him do it.

@@maryrosekent8223 Robin Williams wasn't diagnosed with DLB until his autopsy. He battled depression, anxiety, and extreme paranoia that led to his suicide. We know after the fact that DLB is what caused the depression, but he wasn't diagnosed while alive.

I love Andy. I love his different voices. How he can go from Gollum, with a croaky, high pitched voice, and then to Caesar, really low, loud and demanding. It’s amazing.

Clicked on this for LOTR nostalgia, instead get hit like a truck with Robin Williams feels an whole second into the video. I'm so glad his legacy has left so much humor in so many people all over the world. What a wonderful thing to be remembered for. The people that appear happiest and work the hardest to lift the spirits of those around them are so often struggling the most. Sending so much love to anyone out there that's fighting their own demons everyday.

He was very interested in playing Hagrid in Harry Potter but couldn't because he wasn't British. The two characters are very similar in both appearance and love for all things natural. So you're probably right, he would have.

Hits differently when I watched him as Gollum then many years later in Game of Thrones (is it the same dude?)

There's honestly no talk show interviewer who gives me more consistent laughs than Graham. He just brings out the best humor in everyone he interviews, largely due to the fact that he let's the celebrities *talk* and talk to each other instead of 90% only to himself. This show is how I imagine is the closest we see of celebrities in real life with their chums.

Elijah Wood and Sean Austin were the PERFECT choice to play their roles - so convincing, so moving. All of the cast was just amazing, truly - these two had such a giant part to fill and they really really did it. Thanks guys, and thanks to all in the films, the extended versions are masterpieces.

omg Madonna's body language of "I'm too important to clap for Sir Ian's 80th birthday.." She's so completely detached and cool. It's not "cool" Madonna, it's rude and imperious. "There's no rose champagne!, Yes there is right there. Well you haven't handed it to me." Oh Puh-lease!!!

Love the Maggie Smith story xD

This was a surprise to see Robin Williams, who came to New Zealand after we had the first big cluster of earthquakes here in Christchurch. He did a comedy show here and donated the money to our city. How do I know he did that? Because I had the great privilege to be his therapeutic massage therapist before he did his show. He was just a quiet, very humble and gracious man. No joking, no humour...just very quiet. And over the arm of his couch in the hotel room was the All Blacks scarf. He told me he loved the All Blacks. I do get to massage a lot of stars, but this great man...what an absolute honour. It's such an absolute pity that his medications brought about such deep depression leading to him feeling he needed to leave this earthly plane. We love you Robin. Thank you for blessing us with your beautiful soul. 💫💖💫

As someone from Aotearoa/New Zealand, Sir Ian meant Pounamu (greenstone) instead of punami, it has large significance in Maori culture and is only meant to be gifted to others. It's bad luck to buy it for yourself, so being gifted one is a huge honor. What he said about the Pounamu eventually bringing you back to Aotearoa is true, and it's seen as the stone bringing you and itself back to its homelands. It's sometimes said if the Pounamu breaks it wasn't meant for you, because it can stay strong and sturdy your entire life. Anyway bummer the luck on the night didn't work out 🥲

I LOVE this whole video and what tugged my heartstrings the most was Elijah talking about how he and some of the LOTR cast going to a fan party instead of a Hollywood afterparty. Doesn't matter to me how long they stayed, it's just that they decided to choose a fan party when at that time they could have gone anywhere else more popular.

The only host she seems to be 'nice' to is Jimmy Fallon and that's because he lets her run the show which makes for a bad show, she has absolutely nothing important or relevant to say other than trying to show off her body and act sexy which may have been cute 50 years ago but now she's just an embarrassment. I don't understand why she keeps getting booked on these shows. I feel so sorry for her kids that have to watch their mother make a fool of herself.
