even if he does this, his friends have made reacreations/interpretations of the drawings in the doc, so it wouldn't be a stretch to think they could have made and printed an entire fake book by this point. I think most people took interest in it not to solve the lore, but to see how Scott developed the story over time, which has always been my personal interest. FNAF has been rewritten multiple times (mostly in the past), which means many plot points were either changed or cut entirely, and I really wish we got to know Scott's process Talbert Files is fake anyways, so

Quick little note: The “leaked” cover of the book I use throughout the video said “The Freddy Files” in the title, not “The Talbert Files.” I photoshopped it to say “The Talbert Files” to use it in the thumbnail and used it in the video for some reason, in hindsight I should have used the original version.

Tldr; The Talbert Files is fake because it's too explainy[i might as well add it seems like how a fan would write the FNAF lore but 'explained'], the original 3 scripts for the Freddy Files were scrapped and never materialized into any form of book, and people didn't believe Scott[y'know, the CREATOR of FNAF] and called him a liar.

Entom was not a reliable source of info on Twitter - he made up so much nonsense from “deleted scenes” coming to the DVD to claims about the sequel filming long before it ever was.

I think Entom trying to doubling down and all his "friends" (who lets be honest appear to be more like cult members than actual friends) over what can easily be disproven as a hoax/fanfiction solidified my reasoning as to why you shouldn't trust people just because they're "popular" within a community. I don't get why Entom would use his fame and platform to completely screw over a community and watch it burn when he knew he could've easily put it to a stop. It makes me question his motives and reasoning for doing so and as a result I don't believe he is suitable to have a platform.

lesson of the story: never reveal the lore to a community, they go crazy

8:21 This isn't that big of an evidence, but i'd like to point this out anyways. While Emmet's/Henry's letter here is very obviously aggressive and resentful, he still calls William "Will". No honourifics, not even his full name, just a nickname. I know it doesn't sound like a lot but when two characters use nicknames to refer to each other it usually means they're on good terms. To have a character use a nickname only to have them hate the other doesn't make much sense. It's not that big a deal but just saying, this type of inconsistency would only pass in fanfiction.

Honestly, Scott would never have given such data to the community even if it was unused, he would have kept everything and then reused it, especially at the time, he was (and still is) very resourceful. (btw the M&L soundtrack really brings back some memories, its already 20 years old)

this whole thing feels so reminiscent of early fandom 2014 - 2016 eras of infighting, leaks, and hoaxes, it is unreal

To add to the mounds of evidence refuting the validity of The Talbert Files, to my understanding uncorrected proofs are almost always a final version of a book that just needs proofreading for errors and corrections, NOT an early version that might get fully rewritten later on. Sometimes they even send a few copies out to reviewers, and I really can't see why they'd send such an early version out as an uncorrected proof/essentially done if there wasn't even a guarantee the book would stay mostly the same after that.

I dont know how anyone could've thought this was real when Scholastic didnt C&D DMCA the shit out of any of this. Like yeah maybe Scott wouldn't mind much but Scholastic absolutely would.

If it wasn’t the content farms, top 10 gaming, Illumix, TheftKing, Jonochrome, LadyFizi, and PinkyPills that make the FNAF community look bad, it’s the false claims that this book contained “the original story” only for Scott to go out of his way to say it’s all fake, and cause more issues. While I can understand the frustration, at the same time, this “book” is supposed to be “scrapped” so people shouldn’t have to take it seriously, like the TFTP book Felix the shark. That book contained scrapped stories that weren’t canon. It didn’t have to be taken seriously, but Matpat did, and we know how that turned out. Overall, at this point, something controversial brewing in the FNAF community isn’t a surprise, but I try my best to not to engage with controversial people or stuff, because it’s bad enough they exist only to make the good people and stuff that we have look bad.

In a story called “The Scoop” Mandy downloads FNAF 3, and discovers there’s something hidden in the games code that leads her to a physical pizzeria location in a certain town. This gave an idea to Matpat and his crew that Scott originally had an ARG planned, but scrapped it. Matpat then encouraged people to look into it, resulting in people harassing a bunch of employees at a restaurant that just so happened to be a pizzeria. *No I’m not referring to the golden era of FNAF where fans kept calling a restaurant that is called Freddy’s Pizza, this is a completely different thing, and the books weren’t even released back then*.

It was super informative and i enjoyed it a lot ^^ 💖 The theorycrafting culture of Fnaf was it's best feature but it also became one of it's worsts We are so interested in solving all misteries and confusions of the lore that a lot of people even try to get into scrapped material for theorizing about the story If the book was real, i feel like it would have done a lot of damage to the fnaf theorising community bc a lot of people would have started to do theories on scrapped information, something even Matpat had the error of doing once Scrapped content is scrapped for a reason, and while it can be fun to theorize about what it could tell us about the original plans for a story, it's kinda sad that a community like fnaf would, for the most part, not be able to separate "Unused and non canon ideas" from "Clues about the official canon story" As a piece of Fanfiction the Tallbert files are great, and the format of being a "Lost fnaf book" is a super cool way to show a fan interpretation of Fnaf story, like the vhs videos, animations, comics and all of that I hope people stop harassing Enton and/or their assosiates/friends Angry fans can be very cruel

Scott does joke around and be tongue in cheek sometimes though. Like earlier in the year when there was the fake email where Scott confirmed that Stitchline Games was canon and when Scott responded to the Email saying that the email was fake, Scott gave a tongue in cheeck joke that 'Considering what the fandom believes, yes that is true.' which was meant to be a joking non-answer over whether Stitchline games was true, but people interpreted as him confirming Stitchline games. The issue isn’t that Scott doesn't joke, the issue is that the fandom often gets overexcited over stuff and not think through if that's what was meant, if it's in character, or if it even makes sense.

...I was going to leave a long-ass comment talking about why people wanted this to be real and made a big deal about it, but it turned into a rant. Tbh imo, if Notes from an Investigator (I’m on Chapter 5) is inspired by the Talbert Files, then this leaves me to believe that this was an early concept for how the story of FNAF was going to go. If every single piece of FNAF media is canon in one singular timeline (which is what this google doc claims to be), then I can understand why the story is a bit complex. After all, Scott said back in 2015 that the books (The Fazbear Frights books at the time) were not canon and stated that the main timeline, the game timeline, is finished. And he also added that sometimes the lore can become so crowded that you can’t tell an original story anymore, and that the games and books should be considered completely entirely separate continuities to avoid confusion. Originally, the books were canon to the games, but Scott seemingly didn’t have any ideas anymore, so he decided to split his ideas into completely separate ideas, and they all exist in their own continuities. The Tales from the Pizzaplex series way later on *are* canon to the mainstream. In conclusion: My thoughts are that the early concept of the Freddy Files explains an old concept idea for the FNAF lore that possibly got scrapped and Scott didn’t want to reveal everything considering Scott doesn’t want to flat out reveal things

okay, so the first thing is...idk this Entom person at all. but I don't think that Scott would just say "oh wow do whatever you want with this book you just found" because he is exactly aware, how insane this community has become about lore. there is no better word for it. Scott is super ignorant with emails, he often forgot to answer to questions of his own people who worked for him and fulfilled his request in exchange for money, if they asked 3 things at once. so they had to ask again. this lead to mistakes, some were addressed. the next thing is. the leaks. if two people know about something, then it's not a secret anymore. IF, and if is underlined five times, I had anything like that book in my hands, and Scott said "oh yeah, this is an early valid book you somehow got" I'd discuss it with him at max. the entire thing bleeded out at the fanfic part. and the fact that Scott makes a contract / NDA with all of the people he worked with, so neither of them can leak his project, which includes the lore, wether scrapped or not. an NDA usually lasts for years at least. I myself saw TWO fake "scott emails" on reddit and people jumped at each other's throat in the comments about, wether it's fake or not. there is no need to spread anything scrapped even with your closest "friends", when the story is still developing, because it mixes up people and ends up as misinformation - which this community is famous for. they basically just build misinformations on each other and trigger themselves with it, wether it's lore, or people they want to cancel, but don't know anything about, since they never met in person. people don't even know Scott himself at all, because why would they? his real personality is clearly not the one he is trying to show online, because news flash, everyone, or almost everyone acts differently online. I'm already sick and tired of leakers and "insiders" in communities. so neither of these are people are getting my trust.

I don't remember where I read it, but what it said about what had happened is kinda funny, actually. So, aparently, Entom was keeping the book a secret, to try to confirm if it was real or not, then post it. But, someone in his team "accidentally" leaked it before Entom could prove it. Yeah, I don't know if I believe it, especially since I don't remember the source of this information, but ok.

Hey, does anybody know what the song at 2:19 is? I tried looking through the OST's of Security Breach (Ruin too) and Help Wanted 1 and 2 but no luck finding it. It sounds like one of the Princess Quest themes, maybe I didn't look hard enough cause some playlists aren't fully complete but I'm unsure.
