@@curtischildress9580 My coffee "fear" in London, UK, is there a phobia for this l wonder, is unless, of course, you work in the new office block sky- scrapers, which l did for Ernst & Whinney (Young) years ago - now retired in N Cyprus. E&W had filter coffee makers and/or FREE beverage vending machines. Generally, you used mainly _instant coffee_ powder coffee from a jar! Not a problem you're thinking; if it's *Nescafé Gold Blend* right 🤔 but people leave the lid off and/or don't replace the lid properly so it goes off and gives you stomache ache. Of course, if you have massive catering tins then you've lost out because they last for months and cannot use from an occasional fresh jar. So you have a _perquisite_ a "perk" you *cannot* use because of inconsiderate co-workers 😔. Luckily, there are many Cafés nearby where you can get a Lattë or 2 on your way to the office but just before l retired it was £3.50 for a takeaway lattë or £1.67 for a _"drip"_ Starbucks coffee OR bring your own.

My first thought when I learned what was going on was, The Matrix.

An executive in a fiction who is not a twirling caricature willing to kill his own grandmother for profit? Really well done, his concern for conscience, optics, and profit seemed well balanced and reasonable.

Now THiS is a plot. Great work, guys! Can't wait to see the continuation.

I think what's really good about this film is the characters and the fluidity of the location changes. The blocking and the flow of the film is fantastic world-building. Great job guys!

I want to see how it resolves. Its really well done. Even when it starts it is obvious there is something wrong with the office block and the rest of this part is trying to figure out what and how to resolve it. Brilliant. Also the contrast between the mainly black and white in the mental state and the colour in the real life is also well done. And noticing the lack of emotion and their drive to "work" in the other colleagues is enough to drive anyone crazy. Then she notices Cole who has emotional responses and it draws her to him.

Imagine that this guy is also just an adaptation of the Hive for her! They start to execute a plan to get out and then she realizes that he's not real and it's a trap that Hive prepared for her... To be continued.

I actually thought somewhere along the same lines. I first thought that he was the Hive's adaptation to the girl, but it seems they both are in it. Although, that doesn't discount the theory, maybe they are both in their own bubbles the hive has created for them and don't actually interact with each other inside.

Dystopian Dilbert. 🤪 For a second there near the beginning, I thought the notepad had all of the IQ test questions for 45. "Man, woman, person, car, tv...". 😂😂😂 Male lead looks like a young Ike Barinholtz from MadTv. I kept waiting for the comedy portion of this to start at any second. 😂

That seemed like a very quick 14:27 to me. I guess I got caught up in the developing plot which was headed in an interesting and engaging direction. I can only hope to see more of this film as it unfolds. Nicely done!!

I know. Outstanding stories travel well and fast while watching. I'm so impressed by this concept of the hive control. It's kind of where we are but the greater exploration of this idea hasn't been done. Are there real human hives in this universe? I'd bet my human soul on it...and win!

Dang, glad this is a sci-fi horror short..I would have thought it was a documentary about working in the Silicon Valley in the late 1990s!.. "Get back to work!" Smack!🤣

I use to work their. Had a disagreement with the supervisor, Handed in my resignation, on my last day i took a whiz on his desk. HE failed to see the humor, Got escorted out by security, told me i was fired and no workman's comp, told them i was going public and was calling reporters, got two years severance pay......

...Talking to people about the Mandela Effect...

To be continued? Gah! I can't wait for the sequel!

AHHHH. Need part 2! Great movie. Some of the acting is a bit meh, but the main character is quite good.

this was great! Makes me think of "All work and no play...." I must be in the hive cause I thought I saw The Hive, it must have been the trailer cause I don't remember the other scenes in 3rd act.

The star actress is smiling from ear to ear no matter what she is saying. I think shes over-the-top-extreme-giddy to be acting. Shes not exactly stellar at it, but if she could just stop smiling, she would probably be pretty good. But dear god, the smiling is killing the vibe every time she is on screen. Not trying to be mean, im sure its super cool to finally get to be in a short, but she gotta get into character instead of just saying her lines while smiling.

And wtf, the people at the end werent that bad. Hell, they werent as bad as the two mains. The only one who did good was the one who brought coffee, she had that "dead" vibe about her. Her smile wasnt idiotic either. At least the people talking at the end tried to be in character... WHY IS THE MAIN LADY SMILING NO MATTER WHAT SHE SAYS! WHAT IS GOING ON!

@@Cabotop1 Unfortunately, the original creator/producer is no longer interested in making the sequel. Last I heard, he moved away, bought a farm and is no longer involved in the industry. :( I know what you mean, it really does suck because people seem to love the story. Even some of my production team and cast are always on my case to finish the story, but I really can't do it without Jeremy since it's his story. It's been so long now that everyone involved has moved onto other things so I can't see it ever happening. But I appreciate the kind words about it. And I guess I learned my lesson: if something is going to end on a cliffhanger, make sure we have the means to finish the whole story. lol. When we made it, we didn't expect it to get any attention. It was just Jeremy's pet project. We thought we might get a few hundred views and nobody would care. Turns out that wasn't the case. Anyways, thanks so much everyone for watching and leaving comments about it. I remember this project fondly and I'm also looking towards the future. :)

Gaping Plot hole...They don't speak out the word 'toilet' but carry on a conversations about their intentions. With all that tech, they don't have an auto shutdown when no manual intervention is possible. She makes herself detectable with high profile moves.

Unexpectedly good. My only complains would be the weird zoom ins on the face of the boss man, who also btw is not a good actor. Also hard to believe someone so high up the food chain would actually care about the death of 2 random hackers, more than his company's share prices going down bc of a PR nightmare Also why does the girl say she's been inside the hive longer, when the two of them went inside at the same time? And how is she able to even say the word "hack" without immediately being flagged as an anomaly by the system?

A sense of humanity still exists at this stage where the hive programming is being instituted. A loss of life still touches souls. This aspect of humanity richly adds to the story...without it the story would be sterile and without connection to the viewers who are very human.
