    One of the best origin stories imo, never get tired of reading it and there's so much to it. By far my favorite marvel character.... maybe after Deadpool

    No way. It was awful and removed all of the mystery and as such stripped the character of everything that made him so interesting and popular. Sure, it was well written, but by revealing Logan's secret origins they basically changed the character. His enigmatic past was a MAJOR component of the character. Most of the best Wolverine stories were told pre Origins and thats no coincidence. And the really great Wolverine stories that have been told since are 'What if' type stories that take place in alternate universes.

    DOFP was a pretty shit movie. So many questions raised left unanswered yet no one cares. Because apparently the only thing all fans cared about was the retconning of the whole film trilogy.

    Xorgmaster Not the trilogy they wanted retconned, but rather simply X-Men 3.

  • @Xorgmaster

    @Xorgmaster

    mrmacross Still, what does it matter? They're never gonna make future films on the original X-men anymore. So why bother with a retcon? It was pointless, yet everyone seems overjoyed by this, as if it actually makes any difference.

  • @mrmacross

    @mrmacross

    Xorgmaster You're right, it does nothing moving forward. However, I think a lot of fans can appreciate when a movie studio does a mea culpa and more or less admits that the last movie was absolutely terrible, and this is the closest thing they can say to it never happened. In addition, a lot of fans probably liked seeing the old cast one last time. As for me, I thought the DoFP was on par with the other Singer X-Men movies, and count me in as one of those who thought the third movie was so terrible that I'm happy it was undone, sort of. Of all the problems with DoFP, I'd say retconning out X3 was the least of its problems, and it's kind of nice that they're moving forward with younger X-Men without completely discarding continuity that fans of each of the previous movies, minus X3, enjoyed.

    Have you guys ever considered doing something like "Beef History" for comic characters? Like the history of the beef/rivalry between characters. I'd love that. "History of beef between Wolverine and Sabertooth" for example. Give the history of what started the rivalry and shed light on the comic history verses the weird ass movie changes, lol. The possibilities would be endless. Magneto/Prof X, Doom/Reed Richards, Daredevil/Kingpin... etc etc

    Thomas Logan was not his Wolverine's dad because he does not have the healing factor nor his mother given the scars on her ribs. But his grandfather had the claws.

  • @bryantsanchez8010
    @bryantsanchez80109 жыл бұрын

    There were things left out on his mutation. 1.his healing factor evolves, constantly improving every time he receives damage. the more he is shot the faster his healing factor will kick in to heal said wounds etc. 2.his healing factor can be overloaded by taking so much damage at once that it can go into shock leaving him vulnerable. 3.he is a mutation from a separate line of evolution being of the lupine mutation gene. most notable of this line includes Romulus, Sabretooth, and of course Daken. 4.this is one im honestly suprised that was left out is his berserker mode which sends him into a feral state ignoring pain and sending him in a frenzy heightening his brute strength and need to kill. though this is also a weakness because he is in a rage only giving into his primal urges making him a less efficient fighter which has resulted at times in the attack of allies, but it has also been shown to be able to break him out from telepathic controls.

    if i remember corrrectly, there's actually a storyline in which he does that and BAM! huge plot twist: wolverine becomes more faster, stronger and deadlier, why? turns out the adamantium was working as a poison in his system, always making his healing factor busy and not at its full potential, when it's removed, he moves faster for not having that weight and his healing factor improves a lot. I just read the story not the comic, so im not sure if it really happened and when or where and if it was a "what if story" or an alternate universe or whatever...

    Their was consequences when Magneto did that immediately after Erik ripped the skeleton out of Logan Professor X was pissed and horrified at what he saw and immediately wiped Erik’s brain leaving him brain dead for awhile however that caused a huge problem for everyone cause that’s how Onslaught was created with the powers of both Erik and Charles

    too much for the audiences, they did what they could for one movie, then tried to add more back story in the last movie, which i havent seen, Im sure it sucks as bad as the first, the only good X-Men movie was first class, but it just gets a passing grade.

He also reveals that Magneto is Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's father. During this episode, High Evolutionary transformed Wolverine into a werewolf.

    The one thing that always pisses me off about Wolverine is, he doesn’t have superhuman strength, but they always give him superhuman strength in the cartoons and comics. This is why it doesn’t make sense for him to get in battles with Sabertooth and especially the Incredible Hulk. A fight with the Hulk and wolverine should last no more than three seconds, just long enough for the Hulk to crush or rip him apart.

And as always thanks for the great video!
