I'M 67 and bought a Bonneville in 1972. Loved it for it's handling, beat many a kawasaki!
Thank you very much. I Love Triumph Motorcycles! The original bike was kool!
Styling wise Triumph got it spot on with the late 60s Daytona and Bonnies, if ever a bike looked ice cool they were it. No wonder Steve McQueen liked them the King of cool knew his stuff.

Couldn't agree more. Recently I purchased a 07 Daytona triple as my first owned bike and plan on being a loyal customer. The styling of triumph is second to none!

Just why we should appreciate all engineering no matter where its made... If its good, and it makes us smile. I never knew a German fellow founded the most storied British motorcycle marques.
Just a couple of details that are incorrect . At 05.20 Harry Ricardo is refered to as Henry. The museum is located at Bickenhill not Pickenham as written in the blog above. I spoke on the phone with the late Hughie Hancox while living in Lutterworth, Leicestershire in 1990 and working on a Thunderbird. He was most helpful. A lovely man. Stay shiny side up. Dave. New Zealand.
1:31 Trumpet in the decal. How fitting then that the later twins had acquired the nickname of Trumpet. Reckon the differential of the leading exhaust pipe lengths give them a 2 tone melody of sorts. -gilpin 12-4-16
