Sad that he never got compositional credit. Many drummers never get credit during this time period. Case in point, Funkadelic's "Good 5:20 Ole Music", with Tiki Fulwood. I've been told, that he could do drumrolls with his kickdrum.

Fantastic episode! Clyde played with such a light touch in contradistinction to most drummers of the modern era.

James Brown had some incredible performances in music… but he wouldn’t have been successful if it weren’t for the musicians who were in his band!!!! Sadly Clyde Stubblefield didn’t get the respect 🫡 and recognition he truly deserved in my opinion! Rest In Peace to Clyde Stubblefield and John “ Jabo” Starks . ✊🏾🙏😎
