There are 3 countries that make the problem: 1.Northen Macedonia believe they are the old Macedonia of Alexander the Great and the world of Alexander belong to them. 2.Serbia, when you think about Serbia, they just think they are the greatest and are very greedy dominating the whole region. 3.Romania which is actually extended Wlahia, including 10 other nations that now think that they are also Romanians, which mean Romans, which mean Roman empire, and it is actually sooo far from reality. The Greek history, the Bulgarian history, the Albanian history, Croatian, Slovenian, Turkish, they are actually true. only this 3 have totally false history, and the Macedonian one is actually made from Serbians also. So Serbians are masters of making false history. Romanians, most of them don't actually believe in this Roman empire thing, because this was invented in times where they where able to capsulate the nation, but now everyone study in the west and they realize the truth. But Serbia is still in their own delusions, and Macedonia too...

In reality things went on like this: there lived paleo-European people in Europe (before them Neanderthals) at some point Indo-European warriors from Siberia invaded Europe they killed the local paleo-European men and took their women. So basically the women in Europe have mostly paleo-European DNA and the men are from Siberia.

Something I'd like to point out, after 1389 Topia's Kingdom was dissolved in 4 smaller Kingdoms. Those being Dukagjin (North), Kastrioti (Center), Arianiti (Center-South) and Muzaka/Lordship of Berat (South). These principalities didn't fall to the Ottomans until 1417. Also between 1359 - 1416 there was a short-lived Arta principality that was under the rule of the Losha family. Other than that the video seemed good.

AFIK there was never really any considerable non-Hellenic population that far south in the boundaries of classical Hellas/ancient Greece.

Overall, one out of ten Greeks gave their lives during WWII. Adolf Hitler said, “The Greek soldier, above all, fought with the most courage,” and Winston Churchill said, “Hence, we will not say that Greeks fight like heroes, but that heroes fight like Greeks.” Joseph Stalin said "I am sorry because I am getting old and I shall not live long to thank the Greek People, whose resistance decided WW II." Guess again if ancients with moderns have nothing at all in common .

The Macedonian The whole misconception of Greece being an Ancient civilisation started right before the First World War when Austrohungary and Germanie wanted to awaken the National spirit of Greece so they could help them drive out the Otomans. The whole idea was to give the greek people a shared history and belief wich was only partially true, while macedonians of slav origins had to give up their own to accommodate the creation of greek history. Meanwhile ancient greece newer existed, yes the city states did exist but they were almost newer united intoo a confederation or republic until they got conquered by Alexandar the great.

  • @mariosathens1

Kevin Clementi The fact that the ancient Greek States and Kingdoms never formed a united state doesn't mean that the modern Greeks has no relation with the ancient Greeks. In Peloponnese, the Aegean islands and in Central Greece the local Greeks mixed a little bit with other nations through the centuries but they kept their identity because of the Orthodox Church and the biggest proof is that the Greek language managed to survive for millenniums. Macedonia (as a geographical region) was a multi-national region under Ottoman occupation. A modern survey about the modern Greeks showed that their DNA is common with the Spaniards and Italians and only 10%- 12% is Slavic DNA. My point is that many Empires passed by Greece but this doesn't mean that they brought with them their population to settle. For example, Greece was under Roman control for 1500 years, this doesn't mean that Romans came and mixed with the Greeks. Some important numbers who came in Central Greece was only the illyrians and Slavs.

@S&F Production It does not seem right to name territories with principalities family names like you did with Karl Topia and Gjergj Kastrioti "Skanderbeg", becouse those are all Albanian families of the Albanian nation. Except this, the first record of the Albanian nation dates back to us 1080 AD named "Albanoi".

Excellent video, 6:19 most of people forgets king Dragutin and his part of Serbia (after his brother Milutin took the throne and sent him to Hungary) when Belgrade for the first time became Serbian capital. Later Dragutin's daughter married Bosnian ban Stjepan who was Hungarian vassal so whole that territory became Hungarian again...
