t.A.T.u. has a very special place in my life. I never forget my first impression upon listening to All the Things She Said on the radio. 2002 was such a special year and t.A.T.u. is right tune for it.

They were 14 when they recorded (All the Things She Said) in the studio. And about 17 or 18 years old when the English version of the song was released in the U.S. in 2002. I don't think they were forced to do anything. It was agreed to make something different, controversial, and rebellious to sell records. And it worked. They were successful. Both were born in 1984 and are about 36 years of age now.

my daughter used to play them in the car while taking her to school and i got into the music through buying her the cds.Now im almost 60 and still smile when i hear the music as its special memories for myself

I was so obsessed with them! Totally straight but I connected to their style and everything t.A.T.u is! I remember getting made fun of in school for wearing my plaid skirt and chunky mid calf black boots which was inspired by their all the things she said video! I even knew their Russian songs even though I’m sure I was not singing the words correctly! I will absolutely always love them and will blast them anytime their songs play on the radio!

I thought they are being lesbian is only rumor, I didn't know it's fact until I read comments section. 😅 My friends keep telling me this but I didn't believe it. Their videos always got censored in my country, so I thought it just promotes a true friendship between 2 girls and just rebellion phase.

I know Julia was the leader of the band, the more popular one, prettier one whatever. It was a Duo. There were 2 of them. They should have been treated like equals. Towards the end of Tatu Lena felt unappreciated and invisible. Julia became a bit of a bulky towards her too. She scoffed at her talent and worth as an artist, would talk over her in interviews, didn't like it if she got attention, and acted like she was better than her. Julia gave multiple interviews stating that she was the leader and Lena was just a member, she was more talented and creative, mocked her solo career, and said there was nothing special about Lena. And then she wonders why Lena wants nothing to do with her. I love Julia, but I'm happy Lena stood up to her. There was also multiple instances where they were performing on stage and Lena is wearing a midrift or something sexy and Julia walks over and pulls her top down to cover her stomach while shes literally wearing underwear on stage. It's like she couldn't stand the idea of anyone paying attention to someone other than herself. I don't blame Lena at all for wanting to get away. I'm sick of people calling Lena a bitch for being cold to Julia. I understand her feelings and her actions. I think she has handled the whole thing very maturely and gracefully. I'm proud of her.

To be honest, I always thought that Lena was prettier and never understood the hype over Yulia. To me the all concept of TATU is to have two people with equal talent. If Yulia is as great as she thinks she is, she would have made it big as a solo artist. Actually, not only she is only relevant thanks to the LGBT image she used to convey, but she actually made homophobic statements that makes her double-standard.

​@@user-zy9cs5cj1zexactly. I do not care for Julia's solo work. Everyone says that Julia was Tatu but her screaming was jarring to listen to sometimes and got annoying. During their third album when Julia's voice was going bad they still gave her the majority of the lines even though their lines were equal on the demos. Lenas vocals really suited the third albums and she should have been given equal parts with the leads split between the two. Julia acts like she's on par with the likes of Celine Dion or Sarah Brightman but her vocals were never that great. Look at their first album cover. Julia is fully in the shot while Lena is barely in it. The company definitely favored Julia and Vanya was weirdly obsessed with her. I don't think Lena was treated that well....

@@audio91000 To me her statements regarding gay men never made sense. Not only it is homophobic, it is also sexist as to her it seems than women are here to look pretty and nothing more. Also, she said that men are meant to procreate. Then if they can't or dont wanna have children, does it mean that they are not real men? Then the same should apply to lesbian women. I assume that she is just not very smart and should stick up with what she can do meaning singing and dancing.

I’m actually glad they’re not back together. I think they had a good run and they both seem content to lose the image of t.A.T.u. now that they’re older and more developed as artists. They have different styles they want to pursue, as well. However, it saddens me that they could never just remain friends. Seems like a lot of bad blood that couldn’t be forgiven. I wish they can maybe one day make peace and occasionally collab for a song or performance for old time’s sake, without any drama.

Никогда не следил за ними. Но глядя на видео можно сказать, что до 2006 года группа развивалась. Действительно был УРОВЕНЬ. Потом рыжая ещё что-то пыталась делать (причём не плохо) до 2011 года, а дальше видимо опустила руки. А чёрненькую кто-то подменил. Такую шнягу стала петь, противно слушать.

Тоже самое...

Я сам 2006 года, около месяца назад услышал песню "робот", показалась жутко знакомой, но в тоже время казалось что я её впервые слышал. Решил послушать остальные песни тату, и оказалось что половину я чуть ли не наизусть знаю, а остальные где то слышал. И Лена с Юлей оказались очень знакомы внешне.

из того что видел читал сложилось мнение такое что было два подростка не "стандартных"( вовсе не намекаю на ореинтацию) я о характерах и способностях) которых объединил один креативный "маньяк" в музыке а точнее в шоу бизнесе нашел слабое место толпы девочки лезби создал образ и при довольно сильных текстах и надрывной музыке (нещадно эксплуатируя Юлину склонность к эпатажу ) кстати он скорее подонок чем гений- заставил Юлю рвать голосовые связки что и привело её к хирургу) но способность Лены пахать не только землю но и гранит в желании быть лучшей позволило всей команде добиться ТАКОГО. но время не с чадит и девочки уже стали чуть старше и голоса стали мягче но всё же спасибо продолжаете вызывать эмоции которых хочется ещё и ещё.
