Ahem, only living friend. Canon wise, it was stated that Roland was kinda Claptrap's friend (being that he was the only VH who tolerated him) and Angel (who somehow actually found him funny). As is obvious, both died within moments of each other in BL2.

@@enderman_3076 still we know that the psychos are the face well... mask of borderlands but i don't see a reason to change steve to a psycho but i think if they keept his marauder design would probrably make people go look for the other things steve was in thus giving some attencion to bl1 and bl2, also since bl3 doesn't have those marauders it means that steve would be more uinque on his own regards, but eh whatever i just writed this becuse i was bored, becuse i like og steve more also i guess you know how much dumpsterfire bl3 is

I've always seen Steve not as a game character, but more of a fourth wall guy that you know who works behind the scene. Like getting involved in the story and you meet the actor who is still wearing their employee badge, thus breaking the illusion. We all like him, and we smile when we see him, but we all know the real reason he's there is because the regular actor suddenly called in sick and he volunteered to fill in.
